Not taking new reservations until travel dates into June is likely a reaction to free dining offer. They must have seen a bump in bookings from people hoping to have trips cancelled just to receive free dining?

What does your statement mean? Why is any honest discussion of numbers taken to be an endorsement of death? Are there really folks on this board who think death is good and should not be combatted? Statements like "one death is to many" or "if we save just one life..." are conversation-enders that, if taken to their logical conclusion, are absurd.

Again, with all due respect! :)

I'll probably regret saying this, but as society we definitely deem some deaths as an acceptable tradeoff. Something like 40,000* people die in auto accidents in the U.S. every year. I bet we could get that number down into the hundreds if we mandated a 30 MPH speed limit and strictly enforced it. But we won't. We've implicitly accepted a large number of deaths as a trade off for being able to travel faster.

You can bet if every accident caused two more, and those two caused four more and so on, we'd have banned cars

Verified by Disney. I talked to them in the website chat. It's for everyone who had reservations unless they were annual passholders like us. We get nothing.

Im confused. If you have an annual pass and a trip cancelled, you don’t get free dining?

What people need to realize is that regardless of the exact origin of the virus, which by the way is sketchy, this is the CCP's fault (Chinese Communist Party for those uninitiated). I've been following this situation for 2 or 3 months and I was not surprised at all when it started spreading elsewhere. I saw this coming but I mostly kept my views to myself so that I wouldn't be labeled as a "conspiracy theorist".

I genuinely feel bad for the people of China, their government has failed them. It is not "rAcIsT" to admit that we would not be in this situation if Pooh Bear had cared about his people instead of his reputation. I truly hope when this is over the CCP is held accountable.

Wayback Machine might have it archived.

Perhaps the posts in question are being deleted (not censored) because they veer into politics. There’s a whole section of this website devoted to such topics.

Hmmmm.

I already moved my May booking. Maybe I'll give this a try after they officially announce May being closed.

While that may be true for "no longer accepting reservations for April and May", my existing reservation for the week of 5/25 is still apparently on. So, I'll keep monitoring obviously.
You’ll be there for the “soft opening”.;) I’m only half kidding. They may want a limited crowd for CMs to get up to speed on social distancing so they really could open a week earlier than the official reservation date. If you get in we expect lots of pictures and a full report :)

Wonder how long it takes for them to push back the new CP arrivals.

...or cancel them outright (which I think seems extreme but in our current situation who knows).
