I did some digging on that today. The DOJ has until 5/31 to formally appeal it. If them/CDC win I wonder if masks will be immediately be brought back to transportation? (WDW as well)

I got a feeling alot of people will be very upset if that happens

Let them be upset. My wife and I just returned from a two-week visit to the world and my wife tested positive for Covid today. I had the sniffles for two days and am fine. It's the second time we've both had it. Both are twice vaccinated and boosted twice.

So Covid variants are still out there and spreading.

Nothing has changed here…….yet………and in fact you no longer even have to show proof of vaccination to enter a Broadway theatre, which is absolutely ridiculous considering how many Broadway performers have caught it, including Hugh Jackman, Daniel Craig, Matthew Broderick; Sarah Jessica Parker, and many others.
Just so I understand the logic, it is ridiculous to remove the audience vaccine mandate because a lot of Broadway performers caught COVID during the time that the audience was required to be vaccinated to enter which obviously had nothing to do with unvaccinated audience members?

All this means is that they were not going to let the mandate rule expire after today if it hadn't been invalidated by the court.

Bringing back masks on Disney transportation won't really change much from a safety standpoint. There are just to many other high risk situations at the theme parks, exposure on transportation is just a drop in the bucket.

Why didn't you and your wife wear N95s everywhere like you could have done if you felt it necessary to be protected?

Your vaccination is apparently working to make COVID similar to a cold. Why is it necessary to have any further mitigations? Everybody who wants to (caveat for the immunocompromised) can make their risk of a serious illness extremely low by getting vaccinated and following the recommended booster schedule for their age and risk profile. The whole point (or so we are told) of getting vaccinated is to make it so catching COVID doesn't lead to major issues.

I believe that if/when they appeal it, the plaintiffs will then have 30 days to answer the appeal. Then the court has to hear the case and make a decision. Anything happening as a result of the appeal is definitely not imminent.

I’m not getting into it again with you people. I said what I have to say on the matter. Feel free to have your usual snarky last word and call it a day.

That was the last mitigation measure WDW dropped. That’d be the first one they would bring back I would guess. Hope that doesn’t happen though

As to be expected.

But let me get this clear. You're upset that you caught covid for the second time, even after visiting one of the most populated places in the world and with all the mitigations you took?

Glad it was just the sniffles/cold like symptoms. Which seems to be the norm for 99.9% of people that catch it these days.

I'm not upset at all as we're both doing fine. What's going on won't impact those with similar inoculations and immune systems. What it will do as people mingle in the giant Disney mosh pit and return to wherever they come from that comes into contact with unvaccinated and immune-compromised will not be pretty.

The unvaccinated reap what they sow. Immunocompromised people unfortunately need to take extreme precautions if COVID would be really bad for them to get.

If you are a good person you will be very aware of who you are around if close to immunocompromised people after a trip like that. Maybe mask up at the grocery store or do pick ups if worried. The unvaccinated by choice I do have mixed feelings on.
