It’s still true 100 years later.

Sometimes you just want a sloppy Big Mac and some fries, what’s wrong with that?

There’s an In n Out right next to my McDs but that doesn’t prevent both from having a drive thru line all day long.
Only the brave would go to the Heart Attack Grill in Vegas , I heard some have died eating in the place.

Good, we have the reappearance of people sowing doubt in our ability to know anything. Don't trust scientists don't trust experts. Because people have different opinions they can say the glass is half empty or half-full or there's no water at all!! Oh my God!! There's no water!!!

What a bunch of hooey.
Sure, that’s exactly what I meant

Ontario government had a meeting today to discuss further restrictions due to rising cases and rising numbers in the ICU. The new measures being talked about are closing indoor dining, limiting all retail capacity to 25%, cancelling all ticketed events and limiting indoor gatherings to 5 fully vaccinated people.

Wow, harsh, are they trying to get to zero?
I understand trying to limit spread but it needs to be balanced against impact to the healthcare systems and the economy of businesses. Unless they are still offering a subsidy to the owners I think it is too far for the benefit.

They are worried about the hospitals being overwhelmed from holiday gatherings. There is also a big possiblity that school is back to online only for the next 2 weeks.

Wow, I don't see that in the hospitals around here, still pretty flat but plenty of capacity while we have one of the worst cases per 100K in the country.
I don't think this region is good by any metric or by any means just amazed at the difference....

They have always played if cautious here and on the safe side. Our hospitalizations and ICUs aren't full but they are rising. Add in health care workers that are either sick or have quit, many hospitals are short staffed.

Ohio State just announced that all elective surgeries that require an overnight stay will be scheduled for a later date. My area isn't even close to the very bad parts of the state.

Milwaukee Public schools are going virtual this week, last minute. Too many staff members have Covid.
That's a real concern for many here too.
