Tomorrow will be a week away from when disney said it will reopen. Any bets an what time we’ll hear an announcement that they’ve decided to stay closed and for how long?
I think noon and 4/20 at which point on 4/13 they’ll announce another extension.

You know what's funny?
POTUS wants country open by Easter. Could be first step towards WDW opening sometime in mid-April. I personally think they will end up delaying again, but that’s the talk right now.

Said he, "would love to have the country opened up and just raring to go by Easter." Not exactly a deadline...more of a wish it seems.

sounds an awful lot like a parent 'calling' for earlier bedtimes hoping the children will enthusiastically self-comply.
I know from the last 10 days that’s a losing battle;)

I even gave up on making them take daily showers. I settled on daily teeth brushing and you can’t come to the table for meals in just your underwear.

I'm in the same boat you are. 😂 😂 😂 I'm choosing my battles more and more carefully.

The solution is home school uniforms!

In the height of a zombie apocalypse in which a nest of zombies is encamped in the school gym in which the voting machines are, a governor can declare a delay in voting and someone will accuse them of violating the constitution and hating democracy.

Sure. I'm pretty sure that whatever action you take on something 20% will complain if you take the action. 20% will complain if you don't take the action. And another 20% will complain either way because they like to complain. :)

I just saw a story on Yahoo news about an upscale town in Long island. Zero cases on March 5. Someone hosted a fancy schmancy party and people from all over including one from South Africa, came.
Sunday they had 415 cases and 10 deaths in the town. This is why social distancing matters.

Desantis press conference - surgeon general will be issuing a health alert for FL for all people over the age of 65 to "stay at home" for the next 14 days.

Florida will also advise no social gatherings of more than 10 people, even in private residences.

And then this -

Well, that wraps it up for Disney's stated April 1st re-opening date. Curious to see how quickly Disney responds with a statement.

Many folks swerving into politics. Need to swing the wheel back away from that or risk your posts getting removed or the thread locked.
It is extremely difficult to discuss this topic without some tangential connection to politics. However, I do not consider a discussion of what the Constitution and the law says about this current situation to be an inherently political discussion in nature.

My comment wasn't pointed at any one specifically; your post just happened to be the one before it in the list which was nothing more than a concidence of time.

If I recall, @The Mom said the other day that factual information relevant to COVID-19 and the related issues are fine...it's opinion that crosses the line.

It becomes political when people beat their political opponents over the head with the Constitution. If everyone interpreted it the same way, we wouldn't need a Supreme Court.
