You are a grown adult on an unofficial Disney fan forum rattling your saber about your personal perceived level of high ground in comparison to others who you have never met.

I do not know you personally but I would bet dollars to donuts that you are not participating in any other online forums (Or in person), discussing accountability of the many people in this world who are responsible for tragedies that cause violence and death far more extreme than this virus could ever produce.
But enough about you…

China is culpable. And any American refusing the vaccine at this point is trusting their body's natural ability to fight off a virus that escaped from a Communist country lab vs. taking an American-made vaccine using the most innovative vaccine technology ever made.

... there is really no strong evidence to support the lab leak theory, evidence strongly leans to natural origin.

Wow breaking news they can!!!!!

We all know who is in that line, and most of them have not been vaccinated.

You probably know some of them from whatever Facebook group you get your anti vax nonsense from.

Not necessarily. At work, we still require a covid test for anyone who has any symptoms. Last week, I had a run-of-the mill head cold, but our policy at work required me to get tested. I have had the disease early in 2020, and I have been vaccinated (Moderna) in April. My test was negative, but I still show up in the stats and I had to make an appointment to get tested (I am in Florida but not Orlando).

Not all of those getting tested skipped the vaccine.

How so? His or her original post stated certain people having accountability over others and also asked the question of "how do we move forward" in direct reference to the (perceived) lack of accountability?

I merely asked how do we move forward without the apparent glue that holds us all together (accountability) for the numerous other tragedies that plague our world?

"Not sure how to move forward if we aren't able to call out the ongoing and continuing very bad behavior of some groups" .

That's a direct quote from the original post I responded to, which was clearly referring to the very specific "groups" he/she is pointing a finger at. Where is your straw man?

I agree it likely originated naturally, but I also believe there's a very good chance it leaked from a lab. The push to downplay its origins into the mainstream is probably to concentrate efforts on eradication rather than blame, and I get that, but it must be investigated.

It's being downplayed because if you look beyond the sensational media and partisan fights in congress there is actually very little reason to believe it came from a lab. People are latching on to it because it's a more "sexy" explanation then natural origin. Yes, we need to be open to the possibility, but let's no overstate the evidence for lab leak.

I'll easily address the rest of what you said. There is no evidence to support the lab theory, and continuing to spew that racist rhetoric is not helping anybody. Please consider removing the post because it is really inappropriate. Like just about nothing in that entire post was appropriate other than the concept of get vaccinated.

Uhh...this is not the tune coming from the current administration anymore. They are stating the theory is in fact now credible and are demanding more answers. In fact, many are starting to lean heavily on this rather than the wet market theory.

EDIT: This is also my beef with who has the power to label something as misinformation. I remember when this theory came up here last year, posts were deleted, people were ridiculed. It was taken off of social media in certain situations. Now...experts are saying it is a credible theory....

Sorry, but even health authorities have acknowledged it is a credible theory. There is nothing inherently racist about the theory or examining it for its merit.

I agree with you on the lab leak theory, but even without that, China did lack transparency early on to the detriment of other countries. It is unfortunate that people are taking out their anger on people from China, but calling out a country for doing bad things isn't racist.

They may be singing a different tune, but they have yet to provide any evidence.

Stating that it might be a lab grown virus in and of itself isn't racist rhetoric. It's the addition of the good old American vaccine part of it really brings it over the line. And considering how many Asians are getting victimized in the street because of the whole blame China thing, regardless of what merit is there, people should be sensitive to what They are saying.
