With all the sick social media stunts that are propagated by teenagers, I wonder if we'll get to the point where grocery stores will only permit anyone under the age of 18 in the store if they are accompanied by a parent or a guardian.
While 80% of U.S. children under 18 are idiots, there's still more than 50% in their 20's with the same issue. I would say it would only marginally help.

Ignore FOX also. They all have agendas.

I would suggest just tuning into your local stations, as they have more information as to what is happening locally - closings, etc. I care about what is happening elsewhere, of course, but reporting on an increase of cases in an urban setting across the country, or larger cities restricting movements doesn't help me as much as knowing if my local market, mall, etc is closed.

I don't know if our 80 year olds are really any less healthy than an 80 year anywhere in the world. I would expect that most of your people that were really unhealthy would have already died from other diseases before they reach their 80's, which may be why Italy has more percentage wise than we do.
Have your heard about the elderly that live in Okinawa Japan and their secrets to living a long life?

And I'm officially done in our town group. There are lots of people not taking it seriously, and regardless of how many links to reliable proof you provide, they claim it's misinformation or that you're just trying to panic people or they nitpick the numbers because they don't 100% jive with the website they like. I'm just freaking done.

Ask them if over 600 deaths in a region of Italy overnight counts...can't argue with death numbers.

627 die in Italy in one day.

And that's how many DIED. Not how many got sick and/or were hospitalized. And Italy is about the size of California.

I’m tearing up right now. Local restaurant owners are speaking with the Cincinnati mayor.
They are saying that they plan on bringing 100% of their employees back when this is over.

I agree Mom. Usually when I want to see current events around the world I’m going over to sites like BBC and a few others. When they report about the states it’s usually not political which is a nice change.

It's the same here in North FL.

People were putting pictures up of full basketball courts and asking that people please monitor their kids better and not allow these large groups to assemble.

Seems like half the people were defending the grouping and half were preaching about social distancing. I was shocked at the amount of pro large group comments. Am I missing something?

I linked the freaking CNN article about the military being called in in Italy to enforce the lock-down and was still attacked. The numbers quoted in the article don't perfectly match the WHO website.

Could it be because the medical staff actually said, "We are so overwhelmed we stopped counting the dead."

🤯 ???!!!!

Maybe that's why the numbers are a little off. Guess what?! That's not better news!

Because all of this is unnecessary until 30,000,000 catch it and 60,000+ die. Might as well keep dancing and prancing 'til then!

You have to remember that Italy is a country of about 60 million people. Even before this outbreak 1,750 people died every day in Italy. Even if the 600 that died were people that were not going to die from something else anyways last night it is only a 30% increase in the deaths. The reality is some of those 600 that died were already head to the great hereafter with or without the virus because when you are a really old person your days are clearly numbered.

You big problem is you are claiming that 600 death in a city in Italy... it was actually 600 in the whole country... fairly significant difference between a city and country.
