My brother is ticking me off. I just got this text, “look at Times Square during rush hour - crazy!”

My response, “so why are YOU there?!”

He said, “oh I read just wash your hands and face when you get home and you’ll be fine.”

I wish he would take this seriously 🤦‍♀️

Yes in Europe. If NYC is doing fine right now I can’t imagine it will get any worse Internet usage wise.
I’m more thinking for some areas where the kids will all now be home doing online schooling. It’s going to be harder bandwith wise in some areas.
It’s way down on the list for worries, granted.

I don’t know what all schools are doing... but mine is not all online schooling. It’s lesson plans and assignments for home schooling..some stuff is done online, and written work is scanned and emailed to the teachers daily.. but it’s not all online steaming courses. The older grades and high school may be different though.

This in unfair. The anger you’re referring to has been directed at those who are panic-buying and hoarding. No-one is being told to buy more than what they need; quite the opposite, in fact.

Alas, my post on the subject was many pages back.

What I initially said on the subject was simply that the supply chain of toilet paper wasn't set up for - more or less- even a reasonable uptick in demand. Stores don't make a lot of money stockpiling extra toilet paper inventory.

But really, what proof do we have that anyone was actually able to stockpile TP?

I just don't think it is as widespread as people are imagining the problem to be.

Or were....twenty pages ago.

You know what's funny?
9 weeks...we had 9 weeks as a country to get in front of this.
What would you have done?

After this is behind us, I have no doubt a report is going to be done to look at this from the start, our response to information (as well as the rest of the world's) from day to day, and hopefully that information can be used to better prepare for similar problems in the future...but probably should look forward right now....

Sorry, I should have instead asked....

Exactly how much TP is the right amount of TP to buy during a pandemic?
