Yes please, the sooner the 12-15 group is approved the better. We've already has the 16-19 age group reach 16.5% first dose. In 22 days of eligibility here that's a decent rate. The only Pfizer site here has appointments booked until may 12th, Moderna I could book tomorrow so demand is there. Once they do authorize, maybe states will look at limiting the Pfizer to 12-17 for new appointments. They'd be able to knock out the age group and steer 18+ towards the Moderna or hopefully J&J.
I don't know about hard limits to vaccine access, but I certainly agree with school-based (or even held at the school after hours) vaccine clinics for that age group. Hold back a certain number of doses by pre-registration and knock 'em out quickly, like what GoofGoof has mentioned with his area high school. Sounds like they had a good response there.

The thinking is mid summer for the youngster's approval so in time for school

When is pandemic not a pandemic?
When you look at the rest of the state like Franklin County. Glad Scioto co is doing well but Franklin is not quite there yet. Being in Ohio I know where this county is and know how rural it is.

Editing to add: Franklin Co (most populous county in Ohio - where Columbus is) is improving so there's that.

Stupid anti-vaxx haters, this needs go faster to vaccinating all people by July.
Everyone will not be eligible until after July. The younger age approval will not be until later this year, Biden's promise was the vaccine would be available to all adults by summer. It is and we are doing ~3M doses a day. Keep it up for a couple more months then see where we are and what needs to be done to get it to the point we can test and trace to get it snuffed.

As soon couple more months we will able to get back to normal as masks will go away by later this year as much possible soon!

Sitting at an outdoor restaurant in Orlando right now. There’s two middle age ladies talking quite loud next to me. One of them seemed to have gotten the vaccine but got it begrudgingly. The other seems like an anti vaxxer saying “get it or don’t” etc etc.

First one claimed to have “Charlie horses” and “feels like she lost taste” since getting the vaccine. I’ve not heard of any of these as a side effect.
Second person shakes her head and literally says “I would rather die to covid than lose taste for life.”

These are the people I’m concerned about. Not only did one make up seemingly new side effects, but now she’s telling her friend that needed no extra convincing to not get it.
😐😐😐
Although an interesting story, it ignores vaccine data. "Middle age ladies" are getting vaccinated at a higher rate than most.

CDC data shows who is lagging behind.

Most states now have thousands of unused vaccine appointments every day.

Let's focus our attention on groups who are not getting vaccinated.

P.S. I received my second Pfizer dose earlier this week! Yay!!!

Maybe but maybe not, ask again in June but until then hope people act responsibly to limit the spread of the virus. After then we might have a clearer picture of the future

Actually, it is believed that there is a connection between the vaccine and the blood clots. Yes, statistically it's not a big issue since you are probably more likely to get clots from COVID then from the vaccine, but if there is a link it's important to understand it. Lot of people have died shortly after getting one of the vaccines, so there is clearly a reason these specific cases are being singled out for a pause in vaccination.
"Lots of people have died after getting one of the vaccines??" Really? Since when is 3 people out of 7 million "LOTS"??

Well you have those people who die of other causes. My friend died after having both covid and the vaccine. People have died after being fully vaccinated, catch covid and well, die. What the cause of death is up to the medical examiners.

I am not talking about that, I am talking about what is reported in the VAERS database. I assume we don't hear much news about these deaths because there was no reason to believe they were connected to the vaccine.

Maybe Disney can relax the social distancing now, based on the following study. I've always thought indoor social distancing is a waste of time, being that the air just sits there and gets recycled.

MIT researchers say you’re no safer from Covid indoors at 6 feet or 60 feet in new study challenging social distancing policies

Could be a way to relax distancing in indoor queues. The study says as long as people are masked there’s not much difference between 6ft and 60ft when indoors. However, it would be a disaster for indoor dining. If you believe this study is accurate then all indoor dining should be shut down everywhere. The only reason it’s allowed to be open is that customers stay 6 feet apart when unmasked and indoor and that’s presumed to be safe, but if 6 feet doesn’t really work then they all indoor dining should really be closed completely. I’m not sure Disney has nearly enough capacity at outdoor only restaurants to feed all the guests.
