Who is pushing HCQ as a preventative?

I don't pretend to have memorized everything the man has ever said, but I don't recall him advocating for it *as a preventative.*
From a Covid Task Force briefing, which was televised in early April:

Trump: What do you have to lose? And a lot of people are saying that, and are taking it. If you’re a doctor or a nurse, a first responder, a medical person going into hospitals, they say taking it before the fact is good.

Hydroxychloroquine was NEVER suggested to be used preventatively, by anyone.

It is not a preventative, period. It is not for severe cases, period. The only debate has ever been about whether it might be effective if administered to positive cases early. There are credible studies saying it is, and credible studies saying it isn't.

An idiot did that on tv...which you know

  • President Donald Trump said Monday that he has been taking anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine for over a week to prevent coronavirus infection even though it is not yet a proven treatment.

A year ago all you guys were as negative as all get out. Now you're screaming to be positive. Why the change? Is it the guy that kind string two sentences together? LOL. The change in attitude is remarkable and pretty amusing. I'm not just referring to you, but the whole group.

No...it’s the thousands of qualified people bought in to work under him.

Which is the exact opposite of the freak show we had to endure before.

Which is the whole point. And you should reduce the amount of salt in your diet. It’s not healthy.

Great! Better data is good. But CNN's post is only talking about whether HCQ should be used as a preventative as if that's some new dunk on Trump. It's neither new, because we always knew that, nor a dunk on Trump, who never suggested that.

Sometimes you deserve to get the ball jammed on your head when you stand in the paint running your mouth...

It’s not a dunk on trump it’s a dunk on the quacks who are still to this day pushing it as the preferred treatment.

Although the former President will never admit it when the rubber met the road and he actually came down with the disease he agreed to and was admistered some (monoclonal antibodies for sure, likely others) if not all of the approved therapies.

That was glossed over...full on emergency experimental therapy for a nut who sold a hoax theory to the people he was charged to protect. But he never had a clue what he was “charged” with...and anyone who thought otherwise knew nothing about him. 5 states held the line.

Who is pushing HCQ as a preventative?

Did you take a 4 month nap in the middle of 2020?

Yeah, but I'm not the leader of the free world. I'm just a nobody posting on WDW forum. Nice personal attack though. Very classic of you.

Everyone is free to post their thoughts on here. Some are more right...some are less so. There are no martyrs.

You guys politicized this thread a long time ago.

But you can’t lecture...because you didn’t stay on the high ground.

The interview referenced was from CNN, LMAO. People post articles from The Atlantic all the time which is basically the idealogical opposite of Breitbart.
Umm no, Breitbart regularly publishes completely untrue stories and are not reliable per the media bias chart. The Atlantic, while very liberal and recognized as editorializing stories to fit their world view does not stoop to the low of publishing/making up false stories to fit their view.

Breitbart is the Newsmax of online news.

Our shop stewards just shared my company is giving a $1500 bonus to employees who didn't take more than 2 "instances" of covid leave and worked at least 520hrs between July 1st and Dec 31st. People with 2 or less instances and less than 520hrs get $750, and anyone hired after Jan 1st of this year get $250.
Looks like some fun money for when we can travel again.

What is your take on CNN? For over a year we saw the Cuomo / Cuomo lovefest.

I hate all cable news channels and avoid watching them, but their websites are far less offensive to me. If I’m going to watch tv news it’s going to be the local news or occasionally the broadcast evening news. During breaking events if the broadcast networks are covering it I watch them then too.

Uh. Ok

again it referenced an interview on CNN. Pick your poison. All “news” is basically slanted or skewed or heck even made up. This was reporting something on tv somewhere else. That’s all
