So much for the weekend lag. I’m a bit anxious to see this week’s numbersNumbers are out - there were 85 new reported deaths.

Never mind the numbers two weeks after Thanksgiving! So much for the weekend lag. I’m a bit anxious to see this week’s numbers
I'm thinking just about a week after Thanksgiving until weeks after New Year's EveNever mind the numbers two weeks after Thanksgiving!
“There were people who got infected at WDW”. Thanks, that’s what we needed, some solid data...There were people who got infected at WDW. It would be statistically impossible given the level of community spread for that not to be the case. Pixie dust doesn‘t magically protect you and they have a bunch of indoor dining locations open which we know are not ideal. Has there been a mass outbreak tied back to WDW? No, but that’s different than saying there are no cases.
On the subject of doing more, it’s a lot of tone from the top. Many states that resisted masks for months are now turning the corner and mandating them statewide. I’m not sure if that’s just because the big guy lost his election and they feel less pressure to be ”team players” or if they really have come around on the idea that masks help. Having indoor dining and bars open without restrictions is a big mistake IMHO. You have to be willing to adjust up and down based on circumstances. It’s foolish to say lock everything down (one extreme) or to say no restrictions (the other extreme). A good leader adjusts to the situation and anticipates a need. Cases in FL are clearly rising. Why wait until they hit 15,000+ a day to finally do something? The tone from the top also matters. Is the Governor publicly recommending people refrain from private parties and gatherings? Are there guidelines laid out for the upcoming holidays? I don’t really know the answers to those questions but it’s stuff like that which also matters. It’s not all about Lockdowns.
So you agree that we need more data to show the actual risk of a Disney theme park vacation?I would like someone show real data showing that WDW is a major spreading location...
I never said there weren’t people who got infected at any of those places and I never said WDW is a major source of spreading. You said if/when you find out there were cases at WDW to let you know. I was just letting you know...there were cases“There were people who got infected at WDW”. Thanks, that’s what we needed, some solid data...
There were some people who got infected at the grocery store, there were some people infected at the liquor store, or the gas station, or the pharmacy, or the dentist, or the doctor, or the vet, and so on...

I bet that was written by a cat who is just jealous that dogs don’t really get CovidWant to reduce your risk of getting coronavirus, get rid of your dog.

And all those other things (besides maybe the liquor store) are places people need to visit right now.“There were people who got infected at WDW”. Thanks, that’s what we needed, some solid data...

My kid’s schools are going back to all virtual next week...the liquor store is essential for meAnd all those other things (besides maybe the liquor store) are places people need to visit right now.
Gotta keep your kids hydrated! My kid’s schools are going back to all virtual next week...the liquor store is essential for me
The currently increasing and never got low enough positivity percent in areas all around the country mean we have no idea where it’s spreading. It’s just “out there” rampaging all through the community. Any interaction could be an infectious one.I would like someone show real data showing that XXXX is a major spreading location...

Good luck, Goof! That has been one of my biggest fears, but we're plowing along in hybrid for now.My kid’s schools are going back to all virtual next week...the liquor store is essential for me
This is true. It’s also why one of the only things I’ve seen repeatedly listed through contact tracing as spreading Covid in my area was generic travel. They don’t say where the people got sick specifically (hotel, restaurant, bar, theme park,etc...) but if you are out of town for a period of time and come back sick they know you got it while away so it gets lumped in as contracted while “traveling out of state”.The currently increasing and never got low enough positivity percent in areas all around the country mean we have no idea where it’s spreading. Ramp up fast testing and rapid contact tracing and we'll have an idea of where it’s spreading.
It’s the same place we've been since this started. Some limited success in areas, but no real progress for the whole.
We made it 2 whole weeks in physical school. They did virtual to start the year and then brought K-2 back for a few weeks and finally last Monday expanded to K-12. Then the county called for a 2 week virtual only period starting next week through the week after Thanksgiving. At that point we are 2.5 weeks away from Christmas break so the thought is if cases don’t improve they may just say see ya after New YearsGood luck, Goof! We are up to 22 cases in the district since last Monday but almost all are in the HS and most probably came from kids getting together for Halloween parties and other things not really allowed. We’re about to have the plug pulled on our in person until January...if I had to guess.
0 positives on 11/9...we’re up to 9 now
