If the pre-marketing trials are not enough to reassure you, there will be a huge post-marketing surveillance effort amongst the health care workers and first responders who will likely receive it prior to the general public.

I would imagine that this is how it’s gonna go:

A huge chunk of people will try to delay taking these vax for a month or so...to “cleverly” try to see the results of the human guinea pigs. This is where top down leadership and message really matter. More than it has even to this point.

I don’t think they will have any issue finding front line workers (healthcare and first responders) to take the vaccine first. These are the people there helping all of us. They are seeing their co-workers get sick and some even die. They see first hand how bad things can get with patients. They go to work every day worrying that they will get sick and then bring something home to their families. People won’t need to delay, there will be less supply than demand for months, depending on what happens with the other vaccine trials.

That is true...I was thinking more general population...but you’re right about the frontline workers.

My personal feeling is that non-mask areas should be taking these first. For two reasons.

At what point would there be enough availability to actually accommodate all those though? We can't even get enough tests still, and closest expected delivery of the vaccine to me will so far be 50miles north of home.

Not any time soon. For example I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think if the vaccine becomes widely available it would be required to go back to school Fall 2021. For a place like WDW or a concert or a flight it would only be after it’s widely available and they will most likely offer an alternative. In the Ticketmaster example you could also show proof of a negative test instead of vaccine. If someone has a medical condition that precludes them from being vaccinated I’m sure they won’t be restricted from activity.

If both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines get approved they will be widely available by fall 2021.

I think that will just naturally happen anyway because it will roll out slowly as production ramps up.
