Looks like they are missing some data unless tests really dropped to 40,557 on a Friday which would be a bit troubling. I wonder if we get another true up in the next few days.
The post I replied to was comparing the theme parks to cruise ships and that’s where DLR came in. I guess it was unnecessary for me to reiterate that DLR is closed is closed for no reason except for politics. But don’t worry, DLR will be suddenly cleared to open after Nov. 3rd.
I am encouraged you are not scared of cruise ships and feel just being tested was enough. I will remain scared of cruise ships because of COVID and other cruise born illnesses.
In my opinion, theme parks are safer just by the fact that you can remove your self from any unsafe or dangerous situation at will.

Are you saying that DLR being open wouldn’t have flipped CA to red???Now...I'm starting to agree with you...but you went hard hoaxer here.
You’re specifically nuts in that sentence ...closing Disneyland - by far a local destination in CALIFORNIA...has no political upside. Stop and think about this for a second.
And this is a problem. Frankly Saturdays at an amusement park are just not that important in the current climate

They definitely have a broken lab reporting system. We’ve seen that for some time now. I still think there’s value in weekly averages there. The one value I trust, because they aren’t reporting to the state to muck it up, is lagging unfortunately. The hospitalization dashboard at ahca is not “influence-able.” Like I said, it tells us nothing until it’s too late.I’ll admit...I know longer trust Florida’s reporting. That’s unfortunate but not unreasonable.
Weekly numbers are still fine. Even if there’s a dump of tests tomorrow or the next day it will smooth out in the averages. They definitely have a broken lab reporting system. I think it’s a little pre-mature to start focusing on economic recovery before we get the public health aspect of this pandemic under control, but here’s an interesting article on the potential for tax credits specifically for travel including offering potential credits for domestic travel for things like hotel rooms and meals. So basically a tax credit for going to WDW. Interesting concept and makes some sense. Kinda like offering a tax credit for people who buy an electric car to encourage people to buy more electric cars.

Our schools were supposed to be re-closed if we hit the red zone and stayed there for three weeks. It's been a month at least, and they're still open. They inference/suggestion is that there has been a quiet political campaign to depress testing...Mostly in regards to schools...but why stop there??
I don’t want to believe it...which is exactly why I tend to believe it.

Yes. I think Baker's done a pretty good job so far, but the school situation is getting hairy. There aren't many active cases in our town, but as of last week, there have been verified exposures in the schools DURING school. You’re in Mass? I haven’t been following that closely...but I’m sure they are very concerned with hitting markers as they are farther down the coast where I am
I was thinking more where at risk persons are part of the job but not employees. Doctors, nurses, paramedics, orderlies, janitors, valets, drivers, cooks, servers, pharmacists, receptionists, social workers and the many other jobs that occur just in a hospital.Actually, yes, that's what @Tink242424 said when I pointed this out. She essentially said that those who were concerned "just" needed to go get new jobs, as it was unfair to impose our concerns on others.

Cuomo = BarfNot sure if this has made the rounds here yet. While I don't know if I would travel this could possible encourage more people to fly. Sooner than later.
