I'm not trying to be "righteously aggressive." To the anyone who has followed the 1915 pages of this thread, the collective "we" is part of an ongoing effort to downplay the threat of the virus and criticize the public health measures in response to it. I've read every post, and neither solidarity nor empathy have been hallmarks of that side of the discussion.Don’t be righteously aggressive here. The use of the collective “we“ is obvious to any reader. Of course there will be horrific losses. Of course there will be families devastated. But, in any time of crisis, it is rather common place to speak as a collective “we“. It is a sign of solidarity, and empathy. We are all feeling the pain, as a nation, in this.
I'm not being critical, I'd just like a bit more intellectual honesty. Solidarity and empathy would be nice too.
