That may be, but I can’t stand the sight of blood...or any bodily fluids, for that matter. Lol.Nursing as a major seems to have better job opportunities after you graduate.

Understood however in the hotel industry no guarantee you won't see these items in your career. That may be, but I can’t stand the sight of blood...or any bodily fluids, for that matter. Lol.
True, but not as the same level as a nurse, lol.Understood however in the hotel industry no guarantee you won't see these items in your career.
I salute all that pursue nursing careers as it will not be just blood and body fluids you will deal with.True, but not as the same level as a nurse, lol.
I know some RNs. They love their work schedule. 12 1/2 hour days 3 days a week, followed by 4 days off.I salute all that pursue nursing careers as it will not be just blood and body fluids you will deal with.
The fact that this type of information was presented publicly without any type of documented proof (or context) is irresponsible. Gotta feed the people what they want though.
Edit: If you watch the doctor's comments, he also states that many cardiologists have essentially said the finding is incidental and may not warrant any further investigation or concern. The doctor himself doesn't seem concerned.
There has been a correction to this.
Here is the correction -
"CORRECTION: Penn State Health later clarified that the 30-35% figure pertaining to COVID-19-positive Big Ten athletes verbally shared with Dr. Wayne Sebastianelli by a colleague was actually published at the lower rate of 15%. He was unaware of that when he made his comments at the State College school board meeting, and when he confirmed his comments to the Centre Daily Times."
Does it really change anything that much? He said 30-35% and the number should have been 13-15%. Anyone who was concerned about 30% is probably still going to be concerned if its 15%. I have 2 sons and I know I would be concerned either way. I can’t speak for others so maybe it makes a difference to some people.Too late, minds have already been lost.
y'all we are really entering the dark ages....its so hard to be positive right now. Hundreds of thousands of people have died from a GLOBAL PANDEMIC (Can you believe we're in a pandemic!?!?!), the virus continues to rapidly spread, everyone is losing their jobs, we are on the brink of a depression, here in CA we are having record deadly heat, and our political season is quite nasty. Its getting harder and harder to keep it together.

Here in Colorado that 4 letter swear word is in the forecast for Tuesday! September 8th! And It’s supposed to be 100 this weekend! The local weather service even put, “Keep your arms and legs inside the roller coaster at all times,” in the forecast.y'all we are really entering the dark ages....its so hard to be positive right now. This is such a shame but good to see there is a food bank available. I live in NJ and can't find a foodbank to donate to. I have tons of food I can donate and no one even responds to my messages. I wish I lived near here so I could take my food to them...

I know QUITE a few people who have lost loved ones to COVID-19. Some have lost several. My daughter was tested last week (she's 9) because she had every single symptom known. She was negative-maybe (she only got one test). She's fine now but my wife and I are waiting to see what happens. It's been 10 days so far since she was tested. For your first question, for some it is hard to believe. I’m convinced that if it wasn’t for social media and a 24 hour news cycle, I wouldn’t know much about the virus at all. I literally know one person who tested positive. That’s it. And they’re fine now, thankfully. Granted, I have seen people on here post that they know multiple people who have DIED from the disease (though that goes back to my point about social media), so I know it’s not just some hoax, and I know I have much to be thankful for regarding how few lives the virus has touched in my circle. But for me, personally, I only know we’re in a pandemic because the media tells me we are. It’s quite surreal.
The job loss and depression stuff though....yeah, that hits a lot closer to home.
