Just want to point out that the graphs I've been posting are always one day behind. They don't include the day-of stats.

I flew down to Florida this past week and visited Epcot and HS each for an evening. Aside from being a lot of fun, I was very impressed with how sanitation, cleaning, and distancing were being handled. All Guests were doing great to even enhance Disney’s protocols.
Terrific job by all. Thanks for a good time. My covid test came back neg, as well. Successful trip!

They're being counted just like the guy who died in the motorcycle accident.. cause of death was listed as Covid. You could be 102 yrs old....diagnosed with Covid in March.....die from old age......but, everyone will still blame Covid.

Covid deaths are not being inflated and are likely in fact undercounted.
Don’t know if this has been posted in the 1800+ pages of comments.
Straight from the CDC website. States that only six percent of COVID deaths are from COVID specifically. The remaining 94% of deaths occurred in people that had an average of 2.6 other conditions or causes of death.
So with that being said, the COVID pandemic is absolutely being overstated.

Most deaths have comorbidities, as has been explained by doctors multiple times.

People live sometimes for decades with the health conditions known to put them at high risk for severe symptoms from COVID-19. To assume that they would have died now anyways even if they didn't contract COVID-19 is a huge leap.

That is not what it means. It means that 6% were 100%, completely healthy individuals. And the rest had something like obesity, high blood pressure, heart issues, diabetes, respiratory issues, etc. Millions of people live with these other things every day and live a long and full life except taking a few medications that pharmaceutical companies and doctors make a ton of money off of*. These other people could have too, except for the extremely large elephant in the room.
* Just trying a new tactic here. All these unhealthy people dying early is "bad for business."
Also if you look at the graph in Mr Pinguins post it is measuring how many deaths over the expected trend in the US we’ve had. Something has caused bodies to pile up in morgues at a much higher rate then expected. If you do not believe Covid to be that cause, you need to explain that spike.

You’re right. We should continue to shut down everything until is 100% safe for (checks notes) a morbidly-obese octogenarian with a compromised immune system.

No one is saying to shutdown everything til it's safe. Maybe look at your neighbors to the north and how things have gone. Take a page out of that book. Everything is open here now with limited capacity for theme parks. The only real difference is how most provinces discourage travel.

That’s simply not true. Ask bar owners or restaurant owners who are struggling now because they can’t operate. Parents of school kids who’ve seen people moving about their daily lives maskless yet can’t get their kids back into school. California’s business owners who don’t have a hope of opening until there’s a negligible detection of coronavirus. I like many others have taken it very safe going on six months now but the fickle nature of what’s permitted and what’s not has gone on far too long.

I don't think anything will be shut down again. The people who are so enamored of masks had better hope they work because, based on what I've been seeing, that's ALL people are doing and they aren't doing it particularly well. Social distancing is a thing of the past. Just throw on the masks and speak directly into each other's faces; pull the mask up and down without hand washing or sanitizing. As long as there's a mask somewhere in sight, we're all good.
