No, they were hoping that the heat wold make it seasonal like the flu. What they (experts like Fauci) didn't say is that the flu probably goes away because herd immunity is developed to the strains not covered by the flu shot. Also, being less contagious, strains of the flu need a lower percent infected for herd immunity.

The UV light would probably kill the virus. Unfortunately, it would need to be at an intensity that would damage the lung cells and cause bigger problems. Kind of like chemotherapy but worse side effects.

All potential cures should be thought about. You never know when a crazy sounding idea might turn out to be the solution.

As for this press conference, I'm going to bet it has something more to do with some kind of school program (vouchers?) vs. COVID due to the location.

This is what everyone was warning against. First shut down was bad enough. A second one would be devastating.

I mean, the rules aren't that bad. Just stay 6 ft apart, wear a mask, wash up, and don't congregate.

I hope more closures aren't coming, I really do.

This is a point I tried making to many people. Yes, our economy was suffering, but it was going to be worse if we didn't get control of the virus, and here we are. Apple is arguably the largest company in the world, they don't mess around with something that's a "hoax" and "a result of just testing."

I understand more closures are harmful, but at some point, what other options are there???

The junior olympics was a "major announcement" also. I'm sure he'll talk about COVID but I just don't predict the "major announcement" to have anything to do with it.
