All this speculation wear a mask don't wear a mask at WDW. if Disney requires a mask guess you will have to wear it. I suggest you wear a mask all day prior to going --see if you can handle it , if you can't don't go
One neat trick to avoid fogging up your glasses while wearing a face mask is wash your glasses with soapy water, then wipe dry. The soap acts as a film to prevent the glasses from fogging.

Why are people always assuming people will pass out due to the mask? Are people that weak nowadays that they can't stand the heat?
It’s been the subject of a propaganda push lately.
We are not meant to be in a sterile environment, it's naturally not healthy if that's the goal.

But the mask are really just theatre so you can be like "Im so prottteecccttted" when you're not and go out into society again. They aren't effective. Gotta end the hysteria somehow.
That’s just wrong.
#1 any face covering helps prevent outgoing virus from reaching another person.
#2 wearing an N95 mask does reduce the chance of inhaling virus.
Neither are 100% effective, but they work; and we know for a fact transmission is reduced when they are worn.
If you’re not willing to wear one, don’t be surprised if you are refused entry somewhere.

A mask helps to prevent the spread which is the point...

There’s a difference between living in a sterile bubble and helping to prevent the spread of a deadly virus which is killing thousands of people.

Since when is there an inverse correlation between submission and anonymity?
When some can spot the yeti, sitting behind the grassy knoll, with the sunset over the flat earth being partially blocked in the background by the alien ufo,.. there is no changing minds. Everyone here has a opinion, but when facts aren’t listened to there’s not much we can do.

You're not "limiting the spread" much. No matter what most people will get it. You're not really doing anything with a mask besides having it as an accessory.

Eradication was never the goal nor is it possible due to the contagious nature of COVID19. Personally liked the fidget spinner craze better.
Yes you are limiting the spread. If you cough into a mask, less particles will be released into the air. Especially large droplets. It’s not about eradication but trying to prevent the spread. Nobody is expecting 0 cases to suddenly happen.

What studies do you base your statement on? Seems contradictory to many people in the scientific/medical community
"You're not really doing anything with a mask besides having it as an accessory."

Eradication was never the goal of wearing a mask it was just to slow the spread. Only one virus comes to mind that has been eradicated --small pox
yup eradication is nigh on impossible (nearly did it with measles :( ) But elimination in areas is a possibility.

Well, in that case, restaurants and shops should deny him/her service if one enters without a mask. Those people cannot sue or call corporate cause they know it's rules they are breaking. All they have as an excuse is their "rights" and "freedom"

This gets into enforcement of any rule for that matter at, for example, WDW. Front line castmembers are not empowered to do anything other than politely asking the guest to comply. I have seen stories of security simply trying to get folks to leave the Hoop de do Review after the last show spin out of control quickly.

As usual, there will be guests that comply with rules and there will be guests that do not, no matter the rule.

In my opinion, Disney will not suddenly become hard core and have a gray shirt squad to eject guests that do not wear a mask. This is going to be interesting to watch.

I agree Disney does not have a good track record when it comes to enforcing their own rules be it dress codes in restaurants, people cutting in line etc. That CM making minimum wage is not going stick their neck out enforcing mask rules on the chance some guest is going to have a rotten response --remember the CM that go punched in the eye

Another tip to everyone, don’t forget about the ignore button, if a poster has repeatedly made the same arguments over and over again it might just be time to make them, to quote the great Tiki Birds, DISAPEAR!

I use it sparingly, but this thread caused me to do another poster, bringing my total to three.
