They could just have a CM serve food from the buffet. Some could do that now others would need a compete rework. I don’t see self serve buffets coming back until there’s a vaccine.
One silver lining that could come out of this is if all buffets were changed to have a server plate the food. People touch the serving utensils and then drop the handle in the tray all the time. Same goes for salad bars.

Do we know what the "partial refund" is for passholders yet? Sounds like our passes are going to resume, but it's going to be still stupid to go.
yeah I’m of the mind I’d just as soon they stay closed vs being herded through like socially distanced sheep, no chance to browse in a shop (can you imaging the complaints 6’ behind you who already got their item and now just want to get through the socially distance One way conga line to the cashier?)
The deli staff near me has been using those between each customer for years. Trouble is, they touch the box every time they get a new pair.
that’s the issue I have with “employees behind the counter will wear gloves” part. Very few know proper glove etiquette- and by that I mean how to use and when/how to dispose properly.

And where do you find that 20 second recommendation for hand sanitizer? Most directions say until it evaporates., which is less than 20 seconds. And "or not at all"? Really? Any germ you kill by contact with alcohol is a help.
I remember seeing some expert that said to use enough that it stays wet for 10 seconds. Also, rubbing your hands like washing them is better.

I only hear from you when it’s something like this. Do the search and check with the experts. Only if you approve of the experts, of course.

I've been in the parks where I thought the level of crowds at times were damned irresponsibly dangerous. There was enough people tightly packed in that crushing became a possibility, or if something bad happened, like a fire, there would definitely have been serious injuries or death from stampeding.

As have I. Magic Kingdom hub before fireworks is 1, and in between security and turnstiles before studios opening for rise is the other. The one at studios was the worst because cm’s were directing people into one big mass of people with no way out if something went wrong.

So long as they don't put to many restrictions on guests like forcing them to wear masks, the parks will be packed after opening. DVC members and Annual Passholders will be itching to get their moneys worth.
The next 2 weeks are the most important in a while with states reopening. If their is no resurgence in cases, this virus is done for in all but the major cities. It will be proof enough that the average American can resume their normal lives, although that won't return for years likely.

The parks are not going to be packed yes we will get many FL APH's coming and local DVC folks but guess what the people out of town unless they drive are going to have one hell of a time if they fly in to Orlando. 95% of all flights to Orlando are off the flight schedules through June and soon July. The earliest you will see flights increase (except for SWA the did not cut the flight schedules) is August at the earliest. We are still a leisure market so it's not a money maker for airlines thus the reason why you see smaller planes in and out of Orlando.

It's not just a click of a button and you can add a flight when you want. Equipment is parked crews (pilots) are lot legal if they have not had a takeoff or landing in 30 days so they need to be scheduled for a trip back to the sims.

International travelers cannot travel so they are out, most states still have stay at home orders so I do not see them coming. Disney will rely on locals and as they do the phased closings with capacity they will do the same here. For the 1st 1-2 months I do not see Disney reaching more than 30% capacity they might reach 50% max capacity by the end of the summer if things go well.

People, please stop the "this is the worst disease ever/no, it's no worse than the common cold/everything in between" arguments. Nothing you argue is going to change reality right now - whether you agree or disagree.

And please remember the rules against politics outside of the correct forum, along with the rule against personal attacks and insults. Along with my own rule against crazy theories - even though people spouting them never think the conspiracy/what ifs are crazy, of course. ;)

Check-in June 27! Can't wait! No South American student tour groups. Almost zero scooters. About .28% of the guests will be positive. That comes out to 140 of the projected 50,000 people in the MK having it. The odds of me standing within 6 feet of one of them for 15 minutes are exponentially minimal. My family and I are young, fit and have no pre-existing conditions. The parks will be cleaner this June/July than they've ever been. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO! Keeping my fingers crossed that this happens.

I'm pretty sure the currency requirement for pilots is 90 days, not 30. Regardless, I'm sure the airlines are rotating crews on the limited number of flights to keep them current.

They are maintaining the parked aircraft so it will take a little time to return them to service but it's not like bringing an aircraft back from being mothballed in the desert for a few years.

If the airlines see demand increase they will get capacity up quickly. Although international travel will be slower to rebound I think the bans will be lifted sooner than people think with respect to Europe. Countries where the data can be trusted will have bans lifted once the spread is "under control" (probably defined as the US phase 3 metrics).

Exactly. IMO, people who need a scooter are in the high risk category and should not be visiting places with a lot of people. Except for someone who sustained an injury just before the trip, of course.
Yes. A few years ago my cousin tore his achilles playing soccer just two weeks prior to his scheduled trip. Obviously he needed a scooter. It's the folks who need them due to either being elderly (like my parents) or have pre-existing conditions will most likely avoid the parks for a while.

Say goodbye to the shampoo/body wash dispensers
I don’t see that. Based on that idea, Disney would need to replace the levers on the sink and in the showers, not to mention light switches and tv remotes. I do not see that happening, I rather see those areas sanitized between new check ins.

Am I missing something gross or unsanitary about the pump bottles? They are locked if I remember correctly.

It’s in the requirements from the county:
  • Remove all guest collateral items, except for those that are single use
I assume the dispensers stay they just remove the large bottles and return to individual small bottles.
