Coronado Springs: Seeking Suggestion

My wife and I are about to book a trip to Coronado Springs for August. We are going to be taking another couple with us and were looking at the different buildings (Casitas / Ranchos / Cabanas).

We have stayed at the Casitas before and enjoyed the room / resort tremendously.

I was wondering if there is any difference to each group of rooms (Casitas / Cabanas / Ranchos) in size or enjoyment etc...

Any info, opinions, or suggestions would be great.

*I know they have suites available, but those are a bit out of budget*

We stayed there quite some time ago, and we liked Cabanas...very happy with the room and the short walk to the main building. Casitas are also close, never stayed there though.
Check this site for other details and check the photo gallery also if you're concerned with room size, etc.

Good luck!

In 2006, we had 2 rooms in building 7A and loved the short walk to the bus stop. If we wanted to go to the Pepper Market or the lobby, we could either have a nice walk or we could hop on a bus that would take us right there. They're also very smart in that when buses drop off, they drop off at stops 2, 3, 4 and then 1 (lobby, etc.).

We really liked the whole atmosphere & theming of the resort.

All of the rooms are in the process of refurbs. Now will hold 2 Queen beds versus the doubles. The theme has also calmed down quite a bit from the bright colors to a more relaxed feel to the rooms IMO. I stayed in the Randhos 6A twice in 2007, and have requested it again for our April/May trip! It is pretty far from El Centro, but is near the pool and a bus stop. I really enjoyed the walk to and from El Centro so the distance away wasnt a problem. If you want to be close to the pool, front, and a bus stop the Cabanas are the best choice.

We have stayed in the Casitas all seven of our visits. We are thinking of asking for Cabanas or Ranchos this year just to be a little different (since we won't change resorts...we just love the CSR). The rooms are all the same size in all sections (unless, of course, you have a suite). Although some of the the Casitas have been rehabbed, all of the Casitas will not be finished with their rehab by the time you go in August. Therefore, I would definitely ask for Cabanas or Ranchos (the Ranchos are the farthest from everything, but very pretty and secluded in their own right.

This is all great information!!!

Thank you!

I think at this point I will probably just request one of the newly rehabbed rooms.

Does the presence of 2 queen beds in the room make the room feel tighter (compared to when it had two double?)

I'm a little concerned about feeling cramped in those rooms with 4 adults and 7 days of luggage / souveniers

Not old, just vintage.
Earlier last month I stayed in a freshly renovated room in Cabanas 9B. The room felt huge and very luxurious. I absolutely love the new decor and the location was really close to El Centro. My only complaint about the building was that the Bus Stop closest to it is the El Centro one (Bus Stop #1). All the buses drop guests off in the order of Bus Stop #2, 3, 4, 5, and then 1 so I always had to wait until the end to get off the bus. No big deal though...just a minor annoyance.
