I just wanted to give a HUGE congratulations to the entire cast and crew, past or present, of Finding Nemo: The Musical as they celebrate 1 year of great shows. The Show soft opened 1 year ago today, November 5, 2006, and many of you may have even been there (I know I was). The show has become one of the most popular on property in such a short amount of time. So, just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!

Feel free to write your own messages!:sohappy::sohappy:

The casts have changed, some have stayed, some have gone, but the show still remains as amazing as the 1st time I saw it!

So popular, that we weren't able to get in to see it this past September. We are definitely getting in line early in February. Hoping to see the show for the first time then.

In any case congrats to them all!

The show is great... I love it. It IS the best at WDW. However... they need to do something about that queue. Its hot and humid at AK... and there are not nearly enough fans moving air around. Also when you queue up 45min prior to the show starting (as they suggest)... rain is a problem to (sunny one min.. pouring the next). Some canopies would be nice.

Indeed an excellent show -- the Disney park theatrical production never cease to surprise me with their creative and varied presentations.

Overall, I do prefer the Aladdin show at DCA, in part because of the theater. There's something to be said for actual seats with cushions, instead of benches that are less comfortable than the bleachers at a high school football game.

As for the Nemo queue, I had good luck waiting for the last show of the day -- got there 10 minutes before the start and was able to walk in. This was in August.

I'm guessing this is Disney's next feature length Broadway musical.

We saw it this past July (in an overfilled theater that required we get in line over an hour ahead of time) and thought it was great.

The fact they've added a show per day speaks to its popularity. I agree, kudos to all involved.

Anyone have knowledge as to which show, on any given day, has the least attendance? AK is lowest on our priority list (18 days and sleeplessly counting) but the family is interested. Not so much if they have to deal with huge crowds.

I recently saw Vanessa Ray, one of the original "Nemo"s in the touring company of "25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee". She also has a show on HGTV Canada if you want to check her out on the tube. She's great!

Aladdin at DCA is a longer show. And because they have seats instead of benches required them to build up. The balcony is very steep. I loved Aladdin but Nemo can't be compared equally. Because Nemo has benches they can squeeze in more people. Some rows may have 20 people, others more. This maximizes the number of people that can see the show at one time. I have even sat on the steps at Nemo, which is actually a fire hazard, and was still comfortable.

Also, Nemo has 2 casts. You can see different people playing the roles on any given day.

Maybe I should have sat on the steps and would have been more comfortable!

Happy birthday to a really great show! I hope it's as much fun to perform as it is to watch. All of you look like you are having a great time, so it must be. Thanks for all you add to the Magic! :sohappy:

More than two cast for this show. I sit through all five showings of this show five days a week. LOL. Seriously though, there are at least 3 actors who play Bruce, 3 for Nemo and Marlin. I know there are 2 Dory's, that I can think of at least. All of the cast is great though. They are very friendly and easy to get along with. I work OPS, so I am just an usher for the shows, but they are really appreciative of us for stopping the flashes which affects them on that stage.

While we are sending kudos out to the cast and crew, lets send a congrats out to the OPS CM's who load that theater every day too!

FYI: The show times are 10am, 11:30am, 1:45pm, 3:15pm, and 4:45pm.

Usually the 10am and 4:45pm shows are the less crowded, however since the park is begining to stay open later for the holidays, they fill up too. When the park maps and times guides say arrive at least 45 mins prior, do it. The Nemo show is very popular and every show after 10am does fill up. Unless you don't mind standing for a 40 min show, arrive no later than 30 mins prior to the show.
