Ok, here is my problem: I have anti spy ware from Yahoo, when I run it it says I have a bunch of adware and spyware and trojans. I will delect them and follow the directions to rebot my compurter. As soon as I turn it back on I get the pop up again saying that I have adware running and to run my anti spyware again. These ads are for antispyware to buy it.

I have even tried resetting my computer to a previous date. It won't let me. I have tried several dates on this. Can someone help please?

Delete all the spyware programs from your computer... using configuraion -> Software...

Remove all the Ad a ware program junk...

Install a good Anti virus program... Spyware won't damage your computer as long you use a real good antivirus program...

Hope this helps...

I have anti virus and anti spyware from Yahoo which normally is pretty good. I have never had any problems with it. I am just so frustrated with these popups. I am not sure what you mean by configuraion software. I don't know anything about computers

Click on "Tools", then "Internet Options" at the top of the screen. Select "Delete Cookies", as well as history and Temporary Internet Files, if need be. (Note: Once you do this, you may have to re-log in to the forums.)

I ended up running the other scan. Hopefully that has done it. Thanks again.

Susan, are you here?
I got step by step directions for what you should do.
Do you want them?
It will take a little time for us to do this.

Susan, here is what you need to do to solve your problem.
I suggest that you have someone who knows something about navigating around a computer to sit with you and follow these steps.
Don't do it unless you're comfortable with it.
Here goes:
1. As your computer is starting up Go into safemode on your computer by tapping F8 repeatedly.
2. Go to my computer -Local Disk C (or whatever your hard drive is)
3. Go to Documents and Settings - Find your Cookies -
except for the index (which should be listed first) delete everything.
4. Go to Documents and Settings - Local Settings -Temp Folder -
delete all
5. Go to Documents and Settings - Temp Internet Files -
delete all (this may take a while)
6. Go to you START button - Control Panel - Add & Remove Programs -
Delete and Remove all Spyware, Adaware, Spybot Programs
7. Go to "C" Drive and delete any folders from the spyware adaware
programs
8. Go to START - Search- All files and folders -
In the first box type: adaware*.*
delete any files that come up.
then in that same box type: spy*.*
delete any files that come up.
9. Go to Recycle Bin - delete all
10. Restart your computer.

Register on WDWMAGIC. This sidebar will go away, and you'll see fewer ads.
