Trip Report **COMPLETED** Our HalloChristmas Adventure

Hey everyone - since I finally finished my other trip report I will get to this super delayed one

Who?
The usuals: my Mom (Mary) and myself (Megan) PLUS special guest --- my Dad (Jeff)!

Where?
The Yacht Club! We actually changed from the Beach Club last minute and I was so excited. We love the Yacht Club way more for some reason and we were excited to share that love with my Dad.

When?
October 29 - November 6, 2021

Why?
My Dad has not been to Disney since pre-COVID so we planned this trip forever ago to bring him back! He does not do well in the heat so we chose a cooler time of year (aka not our July trip) for him

Day 1 October 29, 2021
I got up at 3 am, got ready and waited for my parents to pick me up at 4 am.
Our airport drive and check-in/TSA experience went super fast. We grabbed some bagels for breakfast.

Then waited at the gate.

I assumed this is how all my photos with my Dad would look but he did better

We boarded our plane and left on time! How unusual

Our flight was very easy and we actually landed quite early ! Woohoo!

I mean while we were over there we figured we might as well ride Spaceship Earth

I mean...I'm obsessed...

What a fun day you had at Epcot minus the mishap with your breakfast order and the app not working properly! Your matching Halloween shirts are so adorable!

I'm impressed you were able to use the app to make a mobile order payment bc I could barely use it to pull up a menu while I was there LOL much less place an actual order It was much better on my husband's iPhone than my Android.

Day 3 October 31, 2021
We got up around 6:30, got ready for the day and ate some breakfast in the room. We were not taking any chances with mobile order this day
I took a photo of my Halloween themed brownie.

I was able to get a LL for Rise at 9:50 so I was happy with that! My Dad had never been on it before!
The sky was so pretty!!

You probably could guess from the photo above but it was DHS day!
If you know us you know that Toy Story Land was our first stop!

It was Halloween but it was also a Bills game day so ...that is why we wore our Halloween shirts the day before !

There was no actual RD this day - we went right to the SDD line!

Day 3 continued
Well....Slinky did not open when the park did. He was running on the track but they kept saying there was some technical issue. They made it seem like it would open soon -ish so we waited in line.

I am almost ashamed to say how long we waited...a hour and a half. I don't know why really. I feel like partly it was because they made it seem like it was no big deal. I was feeling super guilty about making us wait so long - especially since my Dad had not been to the parks in so long. He said he did not care - he was happy to be in the sun ! Anyway - the guilt got to me so much that I ended up buying a LL for Runaway Railway for later in the afternoon. That que was already super long so I figured I would at least make some time up that way .
Anyway - we eventually gave up and headed to Rise. Slinky actually did not open until like 1-2 pm that day!

Some random Star Tours lights....

Star Tours was a walk on BTW!
Next up was lunch....I feel like we always eat at Backlot Express - and it always delivers !

I got this frozen apple cider whiskey drink...it was pretty good!

A lot of plastic cheese, fries and nuggets

My Mom made sure that we did not leave until she ate her whole dessert this time (unlike Liberty Tree Tavern)

After this we headed towards our LL.

Day 3 continued
The one and only photo I took on Runaway Railway...

This was another first for my Dad and he loved it!!
After this we headed out towards the entrance.

And we ran into a Calvacade on the way out.

We took the boat home since it was getting too hot out for a walk...

Then it was pool time!
We elected for the quiet pool this day so I could pay attention to the Bills game better

After our pool time we got dressed and took some balcony photos...

We walked back to DHS (which maybe was a mistake in black dresses...).

We were cutting it a bit close to our Oga's reservation but thankfully we made it back there just in time

For drinks I got the Jedi Mind Trick

And my parents both got the Outer Rim.
Yum!

We also got some Batuu Bits for a snack

We had a great time but I always feel a pressure to leave quickly
We debated about what to do after this before our dinner reservation and in the end we decided to wait for Smuggler's Run.
It was listed at 40 minutes which would bring us to about 15/20 minutes before our dinner reservation.

In the end we waited about 50 minutes. I was sweating it a bit!
We rode with another group and they were assigned pilot but had already been on it a few times so they kindly let my Dad pilot!
I was a gunner and my Mom was engineer !
We had a great time and it was another first for my Dad. He really liked this ride - especially the interactive portion of it!
After our ride we had another sprint/walk to the front of the park for dinner.
We had some time for photos after I mobile checked in

Our dinner was at 50's Prime Time!
We started off with onion rings

My Mom and I shared fried chicken and my Dad also got fried chicken !

My Mom got a caramel sundae for dessert

Yum! Everything was so good!
After this we walked back to the Yacht Club.

I did not realize they did trick or treating on the Boardwalk! I was sitting down there FaceTiming my boyfriend and I got to watch all the kids trick or treat. It was so cute!
