Trip Report **COMPLETED** Our HalloChristmas Adventure

Hey everyone - since I finally finished my other trip report I will get to this super delayed one

Who?
The usuals: my Mom (Mary) and myself (Megan) PLUS special guest --- my Dad (Jeff)!

Where?
The Yacht Club! We actually changed from the Beach Club last minute and I was so excited. We love the Yacht Club way more for some reason and we were excited to share that love with my Dad.

When?
October 29 - November 6, 2021

Why?
My Dad has not been to Disney since pre-COVID so we planned this trip forever ago to bring him back! He does not do well in the heat so we chose a cooler time of year (aka not our July trip) for him

Day 1 October 29, 2021
I got up at 3 am, got ready and waited for my parents to pick me up at 4 am.
Our airport drive and check-in/TSA experience went super fast. We grabbed some bagels for breakfast.

Then waited at the gate.

I assumed this is how all my photos with my Dad would look but he did better

We boarded our plane and left on time! How unusual

Our flight was very easy and we actually landed quite early ! Woohoo!

Yay, I'm joining in early for a change!! Looking forward to seeing more pics I was disappointed that I didn't get to go inside the Confectionary this trip. I had plans to go on our way out of MK for the after hours Christmas but they locked up earlier than I thought.

I wish I took more photos - I think I was just so excited to be there that I blew through

Looking forward to more fun. I heard that Donald requested not to take your trip this time. He's disappointed that you don't think he's funny and entertaining!!!!!

Funny my Mom and I both said that he probably doesn't like us because we don't laugh at his jokes

YAY, so excited to see that you started another TR and this time your Dad is included!!! It looks like you got off to a great start with an incredible room view from the YC! We left WDW on 10/29 and it did seem crowded that trip!

It was way more crowded than the beginning of the trip which was weird!

I used to hate this new sign, but now I kind of love it.

Our ultimate goal was Buzz but we hopped on the Peoplemover first.

The Cast Member told us we could take off our masks for photos

Buzz was next! We used a Lightening Lane for this

Then we hit up IASW

I have no idea why all my selfies are blurry

We headed to our late lunch/early dinner after this at ....Liberty Tree Tavern!

We mobile checked in and watched a few calvacades while we waited.

We waited almost 30 minutes for our table. They were running super behind.
A light for you...

Once we were seated we waited a long time for our food too.....but it finally came.
Salad and rolls to start.

My Dad was pretending to carve things into the butter

Pot roast, turkey, pork, stuffing, cranberry sauce

Mashed potatoes and green beans

Mac and cheese

Gravy...

I made the mistake of asking for more pot roast. Our first serving was not super great so I really wanted more since it is our favorite part! However, it took SO long to get to us.

Then we waited forever for our dessrt.
The other best part (Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake)

The food was great, but the service was not so great. I get being short staffed and slow but our waiter was not all that thrilled to be there.
Overall we were at dinner for over 2 hours and we were short on time in terms of making it to our next Lightening Lane so my Mom did not finish all her ice cream and she still has not forgiven me

We just made it to the tail end of our LL....phew...
BTMR!

After our ride we all hit a wall of fatigue so we headed out.

Back at the Yacht Club we unpacked a bit then finally remembered to take our date signs @Adventure

My Dad would not cooperate...

But then he finally did

Day 2 October 30, 2021
We got up at 6:50 am and got ready. I don't know why I always write what time we wake up exactly
I had a Boarding Group Fail - the app went down and so was the wifi. I ended up just buying a Ratatouille LL as soon as the app came back up just so we could ride it. I have never had trouble with a BG for Rise so this was weird for me. The app and wifi problems plagued us all day though
Anyway - we mobile ordered breakfast and headed down to the Market at Ale and Compass.
We waited 30 minutes for our food and then randomly the app said the payment went through and we still did not have food (see... app problems all day). I went up to a CM to ask about it and she completely ignored me. I mean legit turned around and walked away from me after I asked the question. I found what looked like to be the manager and asked her. She could not figure it out but ended up just making our food anyway.
It was so weird.
We got a Mummy cupcake

And a Turkey and Cheese breakfast sandwich

It was all good but honestly the whole experience was just annoying.
After this we grabbed our stuff and walked to Epcot.
We made it to RD pretty early and there were a lot of people behind us!

It started to rain a little bit while we were standing there. Thankfully it did not last very long!

We headed right to Test Track

We waited about 25 minutes

We headed to Soarin' next which was a walk on.

Then it was time for Ratatouille!

It is so cute back there!

Day 2 continued

It was a really cute ride! I don't know what I really expected but I enjoyed it. I would not say it is my favorite ride ever created though

We decided to grab some lunch after this at La Cantina
We got beef nachos (me), kids empanadas (my Mom) and taco trio (my Dad)

Everything was super good except my Dad said his chicken taco was
Oh I should also mention we had to use a credit card to pay for this since....shocker...the magic bands and the app were down.
After our lunch we walked out of the park and right to the Yacht Club bus stop. It was a bit on the cooler side this day so we figured this was a good time to head to Disney Springs and skip our usual pool time.

For some reason I had it in my mind that I needed to get the 50th Anniversary Petite Cake from Amorettes so I headed there first and met my parents at Ghirardelli

Day 2 continued

It was so cute and pretty tasty but probably not worth the money
My Mom got the sea salt caramel sundae

We did a bit of shopping

Then headed back to the Yacht Club. We took a short break in the room then headed back to Epcot for dinner!

We checked in for dinner at Via Napoli and had a short wait

For dinner we started with the focaccia bread

And we shared a pizza with pepperoni and olives

YUM. I could eat VN every day I think
After our delicious dinner we headed over to the Gran Fiesta Tour

I know I say it all the time but my family has this running joke that we are shocked it is a "fiesta hoy" again every time we ride it!

Then we headed over to Living with the Land

It is so pretty in there at dusk!
