Ordered an Uber for dinner. The driver tried to take us to AK instead of AK Lodge... no tip for you buddy. We were early so we got directions from one of the guards to the night vision goggles area. That was pretty cool.. I've never looked thru night vision goggles before, so I was surprised at what I could actually see. We also wandered around the lobby, checking things out... man that's a cool place! My pictures don't do it justice as I loved all the furniture around this medallion.

It was almost dinner time, so back to the main building.. we check into Boma for our 830pm dinner reservation. I seem to only take pictures of drinks and dessert! (the two most important things right?)

This is not typically my kind of food, but it is Scott's... but there was plenty there for me to eat... I especially liked their version of Grits... I forget what they were called.. pap? The chicken corn chowder soup, and the spice crusted beef tenderloin was very tasty. And FRESH asparagus.... oh man I was happy to see a nicely prepared veggie! I tried a few other things as well. We were all good when it came to desserts.... these looked like little eggs in a mold to me.

Here's what I ended up with... it's my first time having Zebra domes, and I have to say that I *AM* a fan of them!

I feel like I may be the only one who is not a fan of Boma. Maybe we went at a bad time, or maybe we planned it too late in the day (aka I was cranky lol). Don't get me wrong - the food was fairly good, but it didn't make up for the long wait, the even longer lines for the buffet, the noise level inside and the added time to go to a hotel for dinner. I really wanted to love it, but something was just off

Hmmm it was busy, but the lines weren't long... and I didn't notice the noise, but we were stuck back in one of the little nook type areas and not in the middle of the room. And it was later in the evening.. so maybe we just hit the trifecta.

The next morning Scott's back was feeling a little bit better... but not 100%. Luckily I had scheduled a sort of rest day for us. This morning I went in search of cream cheese for the delicious bagels that @Darstarr has schlepped all the way from New York for me, but I could not find any... so we made due with butter and jelly.

Here I am working on my poses... I think I need more lessons @Doc Disney

I did two loads of laundry again before lunch... it's so nice being able to pack clean clothes instead of dirty. Only one side of my suitcase came home with dirty clothes.

We didn't have plans for lunch, but we decided to go to Disney Springs and check out Chicken Guy... While I was waiting in line, Scott left me and went to the Marvel store, and came back with a Groot Coffee mug. He knew we didn't have room for one more mug, so he waiting until he escaped my clutches to get it! All I got was this Chicken Guy cup with a real straw!

I got to ride on the big guys bus!

I gotta say the tenders were nothing special... the sauces were good, and really that's what his place is all about... the sauces.

We weren't in the mood to stay long, so we left right after lunch. Scott's back was still hurting, and it was time for his afternoon nap.

Now, originally on our "rest" day, I had made a few FP+'s for the MK in the late afternoon, since there were a few more things I wanted to do, and we had to head in that direction for the evenings festivities anyway. Scott said he would rather stay in the room and rest, and I should go without him and do the things I wanted to do. (this is how he got out of some of my favorite rides)

Not wanting to miss some of my favorite sentimental things, I took him up on it.

On the bus on the way over, there was a bride and her bridesmaids... the Bride looked like she was wearing lingerie, and her court was all in pink hoochi dresses with high heals.... WHY OH WHY?

MK was a little bit busy.

I'm not sure why I took this pictures, but it's not why you think it is!

As I got down main street, the seas parted, and the Photo pass gal had no one in line.

My first fast pass was for HM.

View attachment 416843

It was pretty warm, and I didn't bring my water bottle because I didn't want to take it to dinner with us... so I stopped at Columbia Harbour House and got a glass of ice water. I love the cylinder ice cubes!

After HM, I made my way to the teacups. Although, this isn't my favorite ride, it has sentimental value for me. Here's why: My first time to Disney World was when my Grand Parents took me for the day when I was 18. We went to MK, and the only ride I specifically remember was going on the Teacups with my grandfather. This would be my last day with my Grandparents ever, as they were killed in a horrible car accident just a few weeks after I turned 19. So I took a whirl for them!

Wow, that outfit! The color is bad enough, but it never even should have made it out of a design studio. Blech.

I love swiss rolls.... I'm a freak with them though... I peel off the outside chocolate, and then I unroll them and just break off a little strip at a time when I eat them!

We used to go to Charley's Crab for a sunday brunch, but it went downhill, so we don't really go anymore either.
I used to do that with Ho-Ho's (which are basically the same thing.) ,so you are not a lone freak.;)

We woke up to this tragedy:
418281

On our last full day, I originally had plans to go to the magic kingdom. MK is not Scott's favorite, and since I got bonus alone time in MK on Saturday, I saw no reason to torture him again. So I cancelled all the FP's for MK and search for HS fast passes. After riding Midway Mania by myself on Thursday, I decided I didn't think this ride would hurt Scotts back, and I thought he would really enjoy it. I was able to get a FP for this.. and since he missed our FP for SDD on Thursday, we would DAS pass that one. So we had a plan!

We got to ride on Donald!

418282

When we got there, I thought we might have missed the soft opening for the Gondola's, but it was a cast member preview day.

418283

Does anyone else hate the new security in HS? It took me longer than epcot both days!

We had some time before FP for MM, and Scott wanted to stop and watch the Star Wars show in front of the chinese theatre before we moved on.

We stopped at SDD to get a return time and then back tracked to MM.

I love the theme-ing in Toy Story land... and the Midway Mania line is awesome! Was it this awesome before the entrance was changed?

418284

Well, he won... I thought for sure I would win since I had practice, but his gaming skills won out! (and it did not hurt is back!)
418286

and I on the way out of MM I stopped to try and take a selfie at the popsicle wall.

418289

We still had time to kill until our SDD return time, so we wandered and ended up in this Alley where the incredibles hang out... we watched some live entertainment with them for a few moments, but we were bored fast and moved on.

I think we ended up going back to one mans dream because there was one little piece Scott missed the last time we were in there... it was some comic book writer... and it ended up being literally 1 comic book on display. He was a bit disappointed.

We headed back to TSL, and it was pretty full, so I was walking ahead of Scott with his scooter, saying, excuse us.. pardon us... just to try to make way, and we got up the bridge, almost to the standby line, and I had said, Excuse us... and some guy (from somewhere in the NE.. I'm guessing Massachussetts) got really snotty with me and said... LADY HE'S only FOUR... .. so I turned around and said... all I said was excuse us... he was all like.. it was the WAY you said it... I was not being snotty, so apparently he just didn't like my voice..... he's very lucky that I'm slow on comebacks, because man I thought of a million of them while we were weaving our way thru the FP line... and he was not there when we got off the ride. Man... I wish I had fast retorts!

Scott enjoyed himself on this... and like 7dmt, this hurt a touch, but he enjoyed it anyway.

Next: He ditched me again!

Sorry it's been a few days... work has been a little busy!

So... after Slinky dog, DH was done and I was not... I wanted to see if Ben was working the Frozen sing a long this day... and Scott wanted NO part of that. I walked him up front and we did a little shopping along the way, and we again parted ways and he went back to take his nap.... I had some time before my FP, so I found a shady spot and got a drink and some popcorn... but let me tell you... this was one of the times I didn't see what everyone else sees in this popcorn...it just tasted like regular old movie theatre popcorn to me. :🤷:

418746

As my time neared, I got in line for the show, but it's not really a line..it's more like a herd on a slanty slab of cement... which I thought was odd.

When I got in the theatre, I regretfully sat next to some woman who sat sideways in her chair and kept looking at herself in her phone, and flipping her hair in my face. ANNOYING and RUDE!

418749

Sadly.... it was not Ben that day who played Eric.

418751

It was cute show anyway... but WAAAAAAAAAAY too much Snowpe for my taste at one point!

418750

I got a text from husband and he put this up on instagram.

Apparently housekeeping was "cleaning" our room when he got back.. so he went to smoke... he said he watched her as she only took about 7 minutes in our room and she had taken much longer in the other rooms she was cleaning.

418753

So... the maid had left her cleaning rag behind, and also had just thrown some clean faceclothes on the table. She had not made the bed, swept the floor or filled the shampoo that was empty. She did make the regular bed and straightened the other towels

I'm not sure if I mentioned that one day, last week she had not cleaned the room at all and said that we had the sign on the door (it did not because we didn't even have a sign in our room!)

And the last straw was that morning.. I had to kill a medium size cockroach in the bathroom (Florida happens)

On my way to the room I stopped at the front desk and asked to speak to the manager... they didn't give me the manager, but the CM took me to her podium and we had a discussion. She credited me half a nights stay, and had the housekeeping manager call me, and we had the same discussion. He gave me $50 dollars off the room, and also made the same housekeeper come back and clean the room. You could tell she was humiliated and then she had the audacity to complain at me that she had 17 rooms to clean that day. I made her sweep and fill the shampoo and make the murphy bed. Yep... I was that person. No tip for your sister!

After she left, I took out the suitcases and started the packing process and took some leftover waters and unopened cereal and ponchos to the laundry room for people to help themselves.

We hadn't purchased that much, but a droid was taking up a bit of room (ditched the box) and I was able to fit everything in, without having to get out my "extra" foldable expanding bag that I always put in the suitcase, just in case!

Next: Snow White and the 2 dwarves!

For the future...he always updates his Instagram on the days he is performing, with the times as well.

I knew this and did look... and I was hoping it just happened to be a day he hadn't had time to post... but I was glad to see the show anyway! I've seen Ben as two bits in hoop dee doo revue a couple of years ago... but I had wanted to catch him in the frozen show. Next time!

I’ve seen him once in the frozen show but I would LOVE to see him as two bits. I can only imagine how he could wreak havoc as two bits 😂
