Rumor Coco attraction coming to DCA

Defintley would be ecstatic about DCA getting a boat ride but still think not using the upgraded Peter Pan ride system is a miss.

Im thinking slow boat ride through Mexican village scapes, into the cemetery, into the crypt (somehow) and then it transforms into a drop through the portal to the land of the dead and a zippy coaster through that colourful world to begin, and then back into a boat ride through some areas then zoom out through the portal back to the land of the living. Great done.

That sounds great. Hopefully it turns out more like this and less like the Epcot version that was described that sounds like a Coco/ boat ride version of the Little Mermaid. What you described sounds like a fantasyland dark ride meets POTC which would be awesome.

The coaster part as cool as it sounds has zero chance of happening. Like I said, I’m just here hoping it’s not a slow, passive book report ride.

I think a Coco themed ride would be good at DCA, but please lets stop with the duplicating rides at multiple parks. If it goes to DCA, let DCA have it, if it goes to EPCOT, let EPCOT have it, do not do it in more than one location.

Or even just a change in ride vehicles from boat/cart through the village to a hanging trolley while in the land of the dead section, then back to boat/kart.

Really after RotR, I am picturing so many blends of systems that could be incorporated. Although boat to coaster to boat would be easy.

The idea or boat to coaster or suspended trolley certainly seems like a natural evaluation of ride system post RotR. The idea of having the queue become even more apart of the ride is exciting as well for future rides.

It just hit me the other night. Why not move goofys sky school to toon town? With MMRRR that area is going to get some, much needed, new life and love. Why not move that attraction there? It fits the theme and frees up a ton of space.

That's... not a bad idea. The area would have a nice increase in foot traffic due to MMRR anyway.

Replacing the area of the not-so-Bounce House and Donald's boat with Sky School would make a ton of sense, which is why it won't happen.

My crappy photoshop even shows it's about the right size to fit there, too.

Why would anyone want that giant piece of twisted steel in Toontown? Because it has a couple cardboard Goofys glued to it? It would look completely out of scale. Donald’s Boat and Goofys House aren’t good “attractions” but they provide nice place making for the land. I just look at that whole side of the land as “atmosphere” you can walk into if you do choose. Even though there isn’t much of a reason to. @TROR this has “new member idea” written all over it. Lol

Sorry the random shooting wasn't up to your lofty elitist ideals for Disneyland. You make good points, but they'd invite actual conversation if not so dismissive of others as beneath you.

Haha sorry. Just a little new member hazing in good fun. No offense. I wasn’t even responding to you per say. Just anyone who was contributing and keeping this terrible idea/ conversation alive.

Also, I wouldn’t consider myself an elitist. In this case it’s common sense. That coaster is not only ugly but it would dwarf everything around it. Lastly, I’m not sure how long you ve been around but we kind of have a new running joke around here about new member threads/ ideas like this one. I’ve had my fair share of dumb ideas in the past.

Your point of scale is totally valid, and as soon as I considered it from your point I saw how problematic it would be. Just would have appreciated it being brought up without categorizing me in any way, ya know? Thanks for the apology and the explanation. :)

Besides, why do we want two coasters next to each other? This isn't Magic Mountain.
