Coca Cola Question...

 I have to laugh at this because my husband feels the same way!! When we are at Pepsi restaurants he gets Pepper or Dew and at Coke restaurants he gets regular Coke!! He will not drink Mello Yello or Mr. Pibb ever!!
 That reminds me a bit of my best friend. Whenever the server says, “sorry, we only serve Pepsi,” my best friend will always responds, “I’ll have water instead.” Maybe it’s my taste buds, but coke and Pepsi taste the same to me.

Can we get them to do a Caffeine-Free Cherry Coke? Then I could have my addiction back! And the only thing Pepsi does well is Sierra Mist.

I'm a Coke fan 100%, but they started doing something in all the supermarkets here. You can't get Coke 2 liter bottles. Now, they're only offering smaller sizes and on sale you can only get the the lowest price of what a 2 liter was. In effect, they upped the price by 25% and people seem to be paying it for Coke. 2 liter Pepsi on sale is .79 with Coke 1.75 Liter or whatever smaller the size is on sale for .99/ regularly 1.29 or higher.

I insisted for years that they were made in the same factory and given different labels so people could pretend to like one or the other. I used to make fun of my friends when they'd talk about how much better Coke or Pepsi was. Lately, though, I've developed a real preference for Pepsi. Coke has sort of a bland aftertaste that I just don't care for.

Edit: This coming from a Georgia boy in the same state as the Coke capital of the world, Hotlanta. :animwink:

Coke Zero is a huge flop.Im sorry but when I went to the product launch for Coke Zero they said it would in a year be more popular than Diet Coke and maybe just take Diet of the market. They claimed they would have mega marketing push with non stop commercials, ads, radio, etc.Ive seen the same one 3 times in 6 months and thats it.They expected 100% penetration in every channel market from supers to c stores and we all did and now were picking it all up because it went out of date-
A matter of fact they sold a huge amount to Big Lots to blow it out because it was all going out of date in out wharehouses nation wide.

I Hope to one day soon take over the Marketing Guru's job who gets paid $$$$ and did almost nothing-lol :zipit:

Coke Zero was on sale for .50 for a 2 liter bottle at a supermarket here.

Also, could you think of a worse name for a product?

I'm still ticked that you can't get Diet Pepsi Twist anymore. Man, I was addicted to that stuff. :)

Coke better not stop producing it. I think it's great, the best diet cola I've had so far, barely beating out Pepsi One. I"ll be mad if they get rid of it.

The only time i drink coke is when I am at a restaurant and they only have coke. When I am Disney cause for some reason it taste better. Or I stock Coke in Glass Bottles. They are good then. Otherwise I have several Pepsi flavors. I Love Pepsi. But I try different companies to taste new flavors.

As a lifetime Coca Cola fanatic, I feel the need to address a couple of things.

First, Coke Zero does stink. Any cola product with Splenda tastes like a**. And I was disappointed by that, because Spelnda was such a wonderful product (tastes fine in ice cream lol)

Second, Dr. Pepper IS a Coca Cola product, not a Pepsi product.

Third, I'm addicted to Diet Cherry Coke. I swear, I won't drink anything else. I get ticked off when we go out and all they have is 'regular' Diet Coke. :hurl:
DH can't live without his Diet Coke with Lime. I, on the other hand, can.

Fourth, does anyone else think that Pepsi One tastes like RC Cola, not diet?

Fifth, Coke is waaaaay better than Pepsi.

Sixth, today is Piglet's First Birthday. She gets an ice cream cake.

Seventh, I leave for WDW in thirteen days.

Dr. Pepper is not a Coke or Pepsi product, it is independently owned and sometimes bottled and distributed by both companies. Since Coke has Mr. Pibb it is usually Pepsi that includes Pepper in there soda fountains but, not always.

You beat me to it. Dr. Pepper is actually owned by Cadbury-Schweppes.

I did some research and found that it is sold/bottled by BOTH PepsiCo and Coca Cola in US. How strange is that? Competing with yourself....

Interesting. Here it is sold/bottled by Coca Cola, but now that you mention it, I remember drinking it at Taco Bell years ago....

Edit: Is Mr Pibb?

I'm a Coke drinker, and won't drink much of anything else except water. I love Coke Lime. BTW, this is a little off topic, but in one of the newsletters I got this week, it said that when Club Cool (Ice Station Cool) is finished that they may sell cans of the samples like Beverly, Lychee Lemon, etc.....
