Ohh I like that idea! One question -- so would the mountain be 1/2 Bald Mountain ... 1/2 Journey to the Center of the Earth?
Yes. One mountain contains two attractions in two lands. They're never both visible from the same place. Like how a single building can be facaded for both Adventureland and Frontierland on either side.

With having discoveryland and Tomorrow land my idea for Tomorrow land would be to revive the project Tomorrowland 2055! Thoughts?

Discoveryland (Jules Verne and HG Welles inspired land; Steampunky; Retro View of Future)
-Treasure Planet
-Journey to the Center of the Earth
-War of Worlds

Tommorowland (Modern View of Future)
-Soarin's Over the Cosmos

World's Fair (Realistic View of Future)
-Fallout! (not sure if this fits better here, as I could use the World's Fair as my queue and Preshow)

If you want to do the Fallout ride, I would probably put it in the Discoveryland -- I think it'd fit best there...considering we have War of the Worlds in that area as well.

Tomorrowland should be the "brighter" version of the future with Soarin' over the Cosmos, among other attractions we can come up with

And then World's Fair is also a more promising view of the future...but based on the 1964 version with Carousel of Progress, it's a small world, Ford's Magic Skyway, and maybe the Mr. Lincoln show

Would movies like "The Black Hole" and "2001: A Space Odyssey" fit better in Tomorrowland. While 2001 has somewhat of a following, I imagine those who even remember "The Black Hole" are getting on in years. However, at least with the former movie, Disney owns the rights, so an attraction could be made for it in Tomorrowland.

Obviously the effects would need to be updated, but it was pretty innovative for the time. Here is a clip from the movie on youtube:

There could be an updated attraction based off of 2010: The Year We Make Contact with a precarious rendezvous (docking) between the Leonov and Discovery (One).

Aside from these movies, since Disney has some kind of agreement with Touchstone (I believe?) with respect to the 1998 movie Armageddon, since they have an attraction at Disneyland Paris called Armageddon – Les Effets Speciaux, then why couldn't there be a ride based off Armageddon. It could be set when the Freedom and Independence shuttles are docked at the Mir Space Station, but it could also be when they are trying to land on the asteroid. That is, except the shuttle doesn’t crash like in the movie. Rather, after a harrowing ride, you land on the asteroid and a recording of the mission specialists inform the crew that they have drilled a sufficient hole for the nuclear warhead to be lodged in order to split the asteroid in two, thereby avoiding an impact on Earth.

Alternatively, you could have a ride based on the 1979 film Meteor, where you have orbital weapons platforms fire missiles with nuclear warheads to breakup the meteor. Obviously the effects would need to be updated, though the movie was pretty creative for the time. The movie Armageddon questioned whether this would work, but it is still an interesting idea. You might have it set in a command center watching on monitors as the missiles strike the asteroid/meteor. The ride might end up more like the old Earthquake ride at Universal Studios if fragments of the meteor hit the city (New York as depicted in Meteor) and heavily damage the command center.
