I'm good with this too.

It would be an interesting take on Tomorrowland as well -- if instead of Tomorrowland, it was more of a moment in time (The Worlds Fair)

This would eliminate the constant outdating of attractions. Kinda like what they tried to do in Disneyland with the Discoveryland overlay, but it didn't work so well haha
Maybe even a Worlds Fair mini-land next to a tomorrowland. (If we don't want to rid of tomorrowland entirely.)

It's down the road I guess...but something to think about!:bookworm:

Going further on the small world discussion (sorry for the mini-tangent):p but I remember @Voxel brought this up on a podcast once that...everything in Fantasyland has a story. But what's the story of small world?

There is no real story -- except a prayer for peace and unity perhaps (maybe that's why it is in "Fantasyland":hilarious:, but it's only the nostalgia of it being in Fantasyland all our lifetimes that makes us want to place it in there.

I agree. Nostalgia is great (i'm a particular fan), but some things just do not fit as well as they could and Small World is one of them (IMHO).

I wouldn't disagree with that. Maybe we could even make a World's Fair land in one of the two parks. It could fit in there.
True, I think Space mentioned that a lot of the New York/Boston/Marvel ideas could fit in an America Park. I don't know if we will eventually go there or not, but that seems like another viable location for Small World or even the entire World's Fair idea. A discussion for another time, but good to think about.

Okay, so we have a wide array of IPs we could choose to do and even some mini lands. Do we want to start with compiling all of these into mini lands or areas to see what we're working with?

Sounds good to me!

This was from last year -- but here's some concept art for various Fantasyland attractions I made. We don't have to use these but I figured maybe it'll give some inspiration and talking points:)

Thank you Figment!

This is just my opinion to possibly narrow down the list a little (definitely not final or anything) -- and I also added in reasons and the Casey Jr train at the end.

Peter Pan
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Mary Poppins

Pooh
Mr Toad
Pinocchio
Aladdin - this might fit better in an Adventureland
Hercules
Mulan

Atlantis - 20K type attraction
Great Mouse Detective
The Black Cauldron -- lead in to Villains "mini-land"
The Aristocats??
101 Dalmations
Mermaid

Rapunzel
Treasure Planet - transition to Tomorrowland?
Beauty and the Beast
*Casey Jr Train around the land
*Fantasyland Stage-show

-- Peter Pan, Alice, Mary Poppins, and Toad I think could mesh together in a mini-land -- which would be a mixture of London and fantasy countryside (Wonderland and Neverland)

Mr Toad and Mary Poppins I could see having old fashion London facades, with the Peter Pan and Alice attractions being in the countryside.

Transitioning from the English "mini-land" -- you could go to central Europe (Rapunzel, Pinocchio, Beauty and the Beast, maybe even Snow White) to mix France, Germany, and Italy folklore. Off of this you could have the "Dark Forest" with the Black Cauldron castle in forced perspective, acting as the start of the Villains mini-land.

Lastly Atlantis and Treasure Planet could provide a transition into Tomorrowland on the eastern side of Fantasyland?

Then some other attractions/restaurants/shops scattered throughout...like maybe an Aristocats C-ticket dark ride transitioning from London (as I don't really know where that movie is located -- Paris?) As well as a countryside circus where you can pick up the Casey Jr Peoplemover train, and a Dumbo spinner...maybe as a transition between central europe and the eastern side of Fantasyland with Atlantis/Treasure Planet,

Thoughts?

Thank you for reminding me about Snow White as I completely missed that.

I would be okay with removing Toad as well as Pooh (maybe they could segway into a Critter Country like with Splash Mountain when we get to it??) but I'm not firm on that if no one else agrees. :)

For some reason I thought we were not using Dumbo or a circus. Or did I just mis-read that somewhere?

I think either/both Atlantis andTreasure Planet would make a great transition into another land.

Otherwise I think this is a pretty solid list.

Thoughts, everyone?

My only add on is maybe an attraction themed to Oz or the BFG?

I honestly think it's a sin to cut Pooh. It fits way more than Treasure Planet and Atlantis, which I think should still be let but fit Tomorrowland WAY more.
