Ah okay! So if we look at kap's map -- say this Swiss village takes the place of Pinocchio...would it then transition into the villains land or would the villains land be something separate?:bookworm:
It would kind of transition from the Swiss village part of Fantasyland to the villains land. We need to revise the map, since during that stage of development, we included Mermaid and we didn't know Fantasia was going in the castle, so there is a huge plot of empty land.

Oh yeah absolutely we can revise it -- I was just curious because I wanted to do a sketch for it and was wondering what to draw haha

@FigmentPigments brought up a good point about the sightlines of the area if we also have Bald Mountain in close proximity -- any thoughts for that?

As long as we are throwing out ideas -- have we given any thought to a Swiss Alps village? To tie in all of the european themes.

Just picturing these small quaint minilands gave me that idea for a town at the foothills of a mountain, but the more I'm thinking of it -- it sounds like the villains land, so maybe that can be morphed over there!
Would be kinda fun if the transport/peoplemover/whatever we are calling it got a blast of cold air somehow when it passed the Alpen area. Heck, we could try some other scent effects in some of the inside areas, couldn't we? Like a soot/chimney smell if/when the transport passed over past the London rooftop sequence in the Poppins ride...

I think Bald Mountain on the horizon would look really nice! Regarding the map, I think the overall area can be widened and some attractions could be pushed back. I think the overall layout is really good. I'm just debating the placement of BatB, Pinocchio and the Swiss village, and story book circus.

I'm thinking we have the castle, Bald Mountain, and the Matterhorn.

My original idea for Bald Mountain was similar to Beast's Castle in that it would be forced perspective. @orlando678- had an idea for a hydrocoaster in Bald Mountain -- and this morning I remember reading @MCParradox talking about a coaster underground or something. That may be interesting in a villains land, and would negate the need for a large scale height for the coaster.

Maybe it could be a musical peoplemover? You ride past each ride and AAs sing songs from the films as you get the 4D smell effects

@kap91 based on the London Square of sorts on the map -- I tried to envision what that might look like with your Jolly Holiday facade mixed with some influence from the Mr. Toad facade.

Here's a rough sketch of it. This area might be one of the more quaint and beautiful areas of the whole land!

We could also have the the land below grade (If the park is going in Florida because of the high water table there could be utilidors around it but not where the land is like some rides). That could add at least 10 feet to the mountain height.

The Bald Mountain or whatever could be on the bottom right so we could make buildings there pretty high to mostly block it and/or make it a double sided mountain.

Also what do you guys think about having a Swiss mini-land only accessible by a gondola system? it wouldn't go over guest areas.

Hmm the gondola system sounds neat -- I wonder about guest flow though if its the only mode of transportation (like if it ever breaks down then how do people get to and from it) but having it as an option I can see!

I was originally thinking about a train, but since we already have one that could be a bit much. Gondola systems are widely used around the world and they are extremely safe, so I don't think evacuation would be a problem.

Capacity could be solved based on the capacity for all of the attractions there etc. so we would know how much people can go through there.
