Thanks for this reminder @spacemt354 . I know that it helps to have deadlines, but one of the "advantages" (for me) of this forum versus the competitions is that we don't have the deadlines requiring us to work 17 hours straight (like I did on a recent project). I've got a blue sky idea I'd like to pursue regarding Beauty and the Beast, which I will post on that thread.
Definitely agree with this.

Aside from the WDW 1966 project, it's really rare to find a non-competition major group project (in fact this one is 2x as big as 1966 was) so this is new ground so to speak on the forum, with no due dates, and no restrictions.

With that -- it allows everyone to be able to participate, but at the same time -- in order for it to stay on track, possible some internal personal deadlines can be vaguely defined:bookworm:

@kap91 based on the London Square of sorts on the map -- I tried to envision what that might look like with your Jolly Holiday facade mixed with some influence from the Mr. Toad facade.

Here's a rough sketch of it. This area might be one of the more quaint and beautiful areas of the whole land!

. Well that pretty much nails it amazing.

There probably should be a tad more space between toad and poppins for crowd control and such but really....extremely well done.

As long as we are throwing out ideas -- have we given any thought to a Swiss Alps village? To tie in all of the european themes.

Just picturing these small quaint minilands gave me that idea for a town at the foothills of a mountain, but the more I'm thinking of it -- it sounds like the villains land, so maybe that can be morphed over there!

Funny that you say that because I was just about to ask.

I can't believe I didn't think of this! I know you are considering putting this in the villains land, but here my proposition. I know Pinocchio has been questioned about fitting thematically with the England village, but a Swiss alps village would actually fit it perfectly. First of all, the Matterhorn is on the border of Italy and Switzerland in the real world. In addition to that, Pinocchio took many thematic designs (in terms of clothing and architecture) from Switzerland and Germany. I think this is a perfect match! To top it all off, Village Haus and the Matterhorn loop are very similar!

And then maybe we could have the Matterhorn as an attraction in the villains land (because we don't really need any more attractions in Fantasyland). It would be clearly visible from the Swiss alps village, but to get to it you would have to cross the border between the lands. It would give attention to an often forgotten Disney villain, Harold the Yeti!

Ah okay! So if we look at kap's map -- say this Swiss village takes the place of Pinocchio...would it then transition into the villains land or would the villains land be something separate?:bookworm:
