Fastest of the day!!!
Yeah why is it snowing today?Have a great time at Disney Vox! -- I am jealous because it's snowing today -.-
March is a crazy month -- it could be 80 one day and then snowing the next.Yeah why is it snowing today?
Hey all, I needed something to do this evening so I tried expanding upon they layout posted here earlier. The Train weaves above and below the land. Bridges are a trestle in the woods, London bridge in London, and an aqueduct near the village. The only issue with it is it doesn't really have a passage to a villains land - but it does leave a big plot of land next to the castle that I think would be perfect for a Fantasia outdoor/indoor ride with lots of rockwork and maybe the bald mountain could be part of that - would depend on the scale you're looking for. If there needed to be a passage to reach behind the land for say a train station and villains land I think a gap could open up between Pan and BatB. The courtyard is also designed with the idea that there might be a show building underneath it for an attraction. And the show buildings in the rear are partially cut off by the paper. Anyway here you are. Let me know what you thinkView attachment 193214 .
And @Imagineerland, I have to ask, how do you do your drawings? Are they very precise drawings or are they done in some sort of CAD program and then coloured? They're so precise, I'd love to be able to produce stuff like that. It could even be applicable to my course!
Very thoughtful of you! Your maps are definitely top notch. I'll take a read of your tutorials, I'm sure they're really helpful!Wow. Really nice. I can tell there a lot of thought and planning in that. Definitely a good start for the map.
I was going to offer to eventually make one of my nice maps for whatever the final plan is, but I think you might have it covered.

Sketchup! Luckily for you, and anyone else interested in how I make my posts, I wrote a quick tutorial last month: http://imagineerland.blogspot.com/2017/02/how-i-make-my-posts-technology-process. If you have any questions about it, feel free to leave a comment on the blog and I'll get back to you.
Thanks for taking the time on writing that up. I made a point to read it as soon as it came out, and as always it was very good.Wow. Really nice. I can tell there a lot of thought and planning in that. Definitely a good start for the map.

I wonder if an outdoor section could be added onto the Winnie the Pooh attraction similar to Alice in Disneyland.i was thinking pooh would be a good transition to frontierland actually. Woods in general.
Could be fun. Thoughts @Brer Oswald @MA Screamin' ?I wonder if an outdoor section could be added onto the Winnie the Pooh attraction similar to Alice in Disneyland.
I really love this. Wondering though... why don't we make the castle similar in style to this:So it looks like we have a pretty decent foundation to build off of now -- seems like everyone likes most of kap's map with a few variations I'm sure to come -- though if anyone has any more suggestions or hasn't chimed in feel free to!

Good thoughts!I really love this. Wondering though... why don't we make the castle similar in style to this:
Obviously it would be more whimsical, but a Diagon Alley type this castle could be extravagant. Also it could be a hotel... you know Disney likes the
Also what are all the lands? Perhaps we can morph this with unique lands. Like for instance instead of genre (ex. Fantasy, Sci-fi, Western) we could split it up into regions. Also, London could sort of be the mini-land type thing behind the castle instead of tucked away -- it could almost be split in two (across a river, and next to the castle).
As much as I love Fantasia and TLM, I don't think it would fit very well for this land.
Notice how the sightline of Hogwarts is revealed through the front gate. It's that "reveal" moment that works magically. I think Alice should work the same way as it really could be as good as Ppotter as a land. Also I don't think Dumbo fits very well in this land, and honestly as with the Carousel. I probably don't understand what you guys are thinking though as I am so late to the game
Anyone thought about using Narnia?
That could be cool! Would fit well with the theme!I wonder if an outdoor section could be added onto the Winnie the Pooh attraction similar to Alice in Disneyland.
Funny, in the recent Paper Mario game, there is a circus level in the forest World!Good thoughts!
So the castle it seems is one place where we have a TON of eclectic ideas. Everything from Snow White, to Tangled, to Fantasia, and so on. I had mentioned earlier that I really don't have a preference, maybe we leave that till the end -- where hopefully by then everyone gets to see at least some of their ideas in the land as a whole, which might make deciding on a castle more flexible.
I agree with Mermaid being a bit out of place in the land, but disagree with Dumbo. I've been a fan of the inclusion of Storybook Circus near a Fantasyland Forest (as carnivals were prevalent in those areas back in the day, so it makes sense -- I just think the area is underdeveloped.) So it being on the outskirts of the land -- I think that could lead into another "carnival type" atmosphere of a "World's Fair" miniland -- which was an idea we've been throwing around for a while to include it's a small world in (which has a carnival style facade) !
Haha ironic!Funny, in the recent Paper Mario game, there is a circus level in the forest World!
I can try doing something, but I'm not that great.
Sure you are great! Never know unless you try! Is there an attraction on that map which interests you the most?I can try doing something, but I'm not that great.
