Good thoughts!

So the castle it seems is one place where we have a TON of eclectic ideas. :p Everything from Snow White, to Tangled, to Fantasia, and so on. :D I had mentioned earlier that I really don't have a preference, maybe we leave that till the end -- where hopefully by then everyone gets to see at least some of their ideas in the land as a whole, which might make deciding on a castle more flexible.

I agree with Mermaid being a bit out of place in the land, but disagree with Dumbo. I've been a fan of the inclusion of Storybook Circus near a Fantasyland Forest (as carnivals were prevalent in those areas back in the day, so it makes sense -- I just think the area is underdeveloped.) So it being on the outskirts of the land -- I think that could lead into another "carnival type" atmosphere of a "World's Fair" miniland -- which was an idea we've been throwing around for a while to include it's a small world in (which has a carnival style facade) !:bookworm:
Oh, I thought it was open next to Beauty and the Beast. Looking at it now there are train tracks that separate it? I was just against the placement:D. I actually do like it at The Magic Kingdom, but it needs a C-ticket badly. Misunderstanding my bad.

Why don't we make It's A Small World at the entrance to the park? It could represent all the different themes and regions of the world. That could also be this park's answer to The Disneyland hotels across the world. Having different wings be themed to different continents/cultures or something.

Also I'm thinking that this land is more Londonesque and forest/countryside than medieval fantasy, so maybe my understand is different:p

I'm officially changing my vote from Snow White Castle to fantasia castle. Especially if associated ride is next to it in that space.

A world's fair type land instead of tomorrowland because there's so much opportunity for presentational design to be explored rather than the traditional "this is actually happening" type stories.

I don't know how a Fantasia Castle will work with a more realistic fantasyland.
Edit: is the area next to the castle more mystical? Then it could definitely work.
I'm just trying to figure this out:D

I've though of a Petes Dragon Broadway show....I think an invisible dragon is a great conceit for a stage show, many of the songs are perfect stage numbers, the Gorgans are the perfect stage comedy group, and there's plenty of opportunity for wow visuals (Elliot caught under the harpoon net with ropes and people flying about, Pete riding Elliot, storms and rain). In many ways the original movie is really written for the stage. Probably why it found little success as a movie - that kind of over-the-top acting and storytelling never pleases most movie audiences (I happen to love it)

Sadly, I don't think enough people appreciate the original for it to be feasible.
I like Pete's Dragon but I don't think there's a following for it.
