Some people mentioned a suspended flying machine invention thing, which can certainly work well. This is at Europa Park in Germany, its called Volo Da Vinci. There are peddles in the carriage so the guests believe they're powering the vehicle themselves, but in reality they're motorised wheels on the overhead track. Pretty clever!

Now that I think of it there is a tradition of canals and water bridges in parts of Europe. If the land itself had elevation changes you could have a boat/gondola type craft sail through the land - in some parts below grade, some parts at grade (makes sense with a Mediterranean area) , and some parts above in a waterbridge/flume. It would be unique and add some natural elements to an architecturally heavy land.

If we end up doing an area with Atlantis I would mind having something like this there. GREAT FIND!

When Main Street comes along, I would love to help! I have a design issue that I envision that I would love opinions on!

So, I think Liberty Square should not be included, in favor of an immense Main Street that features the Gatsby-esque Haunted Mansion, a Presidents attraction, and other exclusive attractions. The problem is that that would go against the perfect hub-and-spoke concept, pulling away from the Hub, making navigation harder. Does anyone have an idea that could both bring the concept into fruition, while not messing with crowd-flow and navigation? I'll dive more into this when the Fantasyland segment has passed, which I'm hoping to share thoughts on whenever I get the time to!

I'm sure we would all love to hear them! :geek: Hang around, we'll get to Main Street.

Fantasyland - Club 32 - Recap 3/8/2017

Synopsis
The main goal of this project is to design a brand new Fantasyland for a yet to be named/located Magic Kingdom-style park. Starting from scratch with the land will allow us to use our creativity to the max -- and hopefully allow everyone to pursue their interests for inclusions in the land.

From Brainstorming:

Tuesday
1 - We've gone back and forth on various IPs and story-lines to settle into various "mini-lands" -- recreating the environments from classic Disney animated films and characters.
2 - We've also veered towards the exclusion of "it's a small world" from the land, citing World Showcase, monorail, or a World's Fair mini-land as possible areas for it down the road.

Wednesday
3 - @Brer Oswald drew a very rough sketch of a potential outline for the land
full

Some back and forth conversation has been had on the location/size of some of the attractions - but overall it is a great starting point!

4 - It also seems like for the Peoplemover attraction that @Imagineerland had originally proposed, is now being modified to be a non-IP, generic theme, so it can flow through the varying themes without altering too much of the respective areas or being so contrasting that it ruins the environments.

5 - With the change of the peoplemover, suggestions and discussions have been going on about where to place a Dumbo themed attraction, as well as a variety of other smaller scale dark rides/flat rides to round out the land itself.

6 - Lastly, two sub-brainstorming threads, Beauty and the Beast and Villains Mini-Land -- have been set up, so that those respective conversations can be organized and concise going forward. Those areas seem to have several people's approval and have begun on the specifics if anyone wants to chime in over there - here are the links!

This thread will continue to be the catch-all thread as we continue to develop the project.

That's all for now -- if I missed anything just add it in

Thanks everyone and goodnight!:)

@Jsly

Btw -- hope you are doing well, if you have time, it would be great to see some of your logos for these attractions! They would add a true aura of professionalism to this whole project!:D
