Clearing things up: Untrue rumours.

Beastly kingdom is never coming

While this is likely true, I got to thinking recently that the original plans for the Discovery River Boats could and should be dusted off. Perhaps make it so it doesn't rely on both docks, but a boat ride where you can see a dragon, a kraken and a unicorn would be a nice addition, and the bulk of the infrastructure is already there.

-Calling 407-943-6771 is not the number to call "For A Good Time" as the Men's Room stall in the IHOP outside Downtown Disney by crossroads would have you believe.
That is a Perkin's outside DTD, not IHOP. I have been there. It is very good.

There is an IHOP outside of DTD next to the Double Tree with the big pineapple on the front of the building and the tacky tourist T-shirt shop. I have not however tried calling the number posted in the restroom.:lookaroun

Silly Rabbit! There's totally an IHOP by Crossroad's. It's near Qdoba and across from the Olive Garden/Burger King block, like he said.

In any case, TREMBLE BEFORE MY KNOWLEDGE OF CHAIN RESTAURANTS OUTSIDE THE DISNEY WORLD AREA! MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

We are talking about the same IHOP. Been there more times than I can count.

Well...at least the DTD part has some basis in fact. It at least made it to the model stage....

The DTD line, as well as the Studios and also one going south past the CBR arn`t rumour - they were all planned.

What is rumour is that they will be built anytime soon.

"But what it'll it cost man! What'll it cost?"

"A box of these"

Sorry, Blazing Saddles moment when ever I see a monorail rumor.

Are you crazy? They'll never go for it. And then again they might. Those little red devils... they love toys!

This is the best photo of that model I have ever seen. I always assumed that was a monorail beam running between the parking lot and the Shopping Village. I now see correctly that that beam is the PeopleMover and the Monorail is in the background.

I actually attended an Imagineering seminar in college, and they showed off quick clips of how they judge size of new parks and areas, and of things they looked at.

The only one I remember was a monorail running on an I-Beam over the "Downtown Disney" sign.

I wish it would happen.

In 2000 those planned lines were still shown on the large WDW Property Maps posted in the Traditions rooms at Disney U.

And yes, I know 36 trains wouldn't be enough, but it was one more wise crack submitted in what has become highly sarcastic (yet hilarious) thread.

How about the one about the giant black square areas in the middle of the Swan and Dolphin resorts? Supposedly, those areas would be demolished to make way for a monorail to pass through to the Studios.

or how about the one where Sorcery in the Sky fireworks would return to DHS?

I've heard them both.

Yeah, I have heard something along those lines before.

Actually, the bus drivers ARE top-level executives. That whole board-of-directors thing? Just a front. A bunch of guys who look good in suits, nothing more. The bus drivers are the REAL power in the company.

Well that explains why when you don't spend enough in the parks on a given day you might find yourself rear-ended by a dis bus by a driver disguised as an 81 yr old...and mysteriously carted off property in an 'ambulance'

The Monorail was to have run along the median of BVD

Thanks L. One can dream though, right? ;)
