Hi!

There has been some recent confusion about exactly who is who, and what various member status messages mean... so I am going to try and explain it for you here. :)

- Administrator
That would be me, Steve. The guy who runs the main site at www.wdwmagic.com, and this forum. The Administrator is the only person here who is able to remove posts from any board, ban users etc.

- Contributor Premium Members
These kind people help to finance the running of the site by paying $5 per month. They do not have any moderator/administrative powers, and therefore cannot move/add/remove users or posts.

- Forum Moderators
These people help to run specific boards, such as the digital media, trivia, employment and trip planning. Forum moderators are generally people who have a specialist knowledge in a specific area. They have moderator capabilities in their particular board ONLY. Not site wide.

All other categories of status, are based on the number of posts that a member makes.

Junior Member (Minimum Posts: 0)
Member (Minimum Posts: 30)
Earning My Ears (Minimum Posts: 100)
Junior Cast Member (Minimum Posts: 150)
Cast Member (Minimum Posts: 200)
Senior Cast Member (Minimum Posts: 500)
Junior Imagineer (Minimum Posts: 1000)
Senior Imagineer (Minimum Posts: 5000)
Imagineer (Minimum Posts: 10000)

A higher status does not give a member any powers. It is simply a bit of fun to attain different titles, nothing more.

I hope that helps explain things. If there is any confusion, or you have any questions, please post them here and I will answer them.

Thanks! :)

I think I should also mention that the "exciting" job of being a MOD is really not that galmorous...we cant ban people..we can only move, delete, stick, and unstich threads. Most of us don't even have to do that at all...its just a "just in case" situation.

Yea, I never really thought it sounded all that glamourous, I just think it would be cool to be a part of the "team.":animwink:

And to think i thought "earning my ears, and Cast Member" meant they were an actual employee of WDW.:brick:

I'm not sure exactly why he was banned. I suspect:

1. He made a totally inappropriate post, which was deleted.

2. He is a new incarnation of a previously banned member trying to "sneak" back on the board.

3. Only Steve knows for sure. ;)

The moderators have had plenty of "real" malcontents & troublemakers....they don't have to create one.

...he didn't pass the IQ test....or was it the 'smell' test?....in any event, it's just a matter of time before the rest of the low life, bottom-feeding scumbags are snuffed out of this forum so that the decent members can get on with having some HONEST fun.
