So what I'm gathering from everyone's answers is that the players in this game are interested in working with "Every theme park in the world including the ones they've never heard of." I'll add that to the list lol

Today's Question

Are you a fan of Video Games? What's you favorite!
It’s obvious, Nintendo games (even if I barely play them nowadays lol)

For me if anyone is curious:

  • Zelda, Mario, and basically most Nintendo stuff
  • Kingdom Hearts
  • Undertale/Deltarune
  • Danganronpa
  • Assassins Creed 4 (this is my first game in the series and I'm really loving it so far)
  • Dreamlight Valley
  • Fnaf/Bendy/Poppy are fun to watch, but I don't really enjoy playing them
  • Rollercoaster Tycoon (2 is the best)
  • Tony hawk Pro Skater 4

I'm very big into "pick up and play" type games where you don't need to invest a ton of time into getting into the story or complicated mechanics and leveling up systems. So RPGs by and large are out for me besides the original Kingdom Hearts (even by KH2 I sort of I fell off of that series because of how flashy and over the top the combat was compared to the first, but the original is a masterpiece with how well balanced and easy to use the leveling up, magic etc. were while still having some really memorably challenging moments. )

My two favorite genres are 2D platformers and drop-block puzzle games. Not a lot of people talk about it, but I think the puzzle game "Lumines" might be my all time favorite game. It's basically an evolution on the Tetris formula and has some crazy good visuals, controls, and the perfect "easy to learn, difficult to master" mechanics. All the skins are based on different songs and each song has a running "timeline" that clears matching squares to the pace of the music, so the game is just as effective as a rythm game than as a puzzle game. It was a standout launch title for the PSP and besides Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is THE game I've logged the most hours on my Switch with bar none.

Other than that, I consider the original two SNES Donkey Kong Country games to be the absolute gold standard when it comes to 2D platformers. As good as the new DKC games have been the zoomed out camera mixed with the blatantly more boring villain designs just hold them back from true greatness for me. Justice for the Kremlings!

Other than that, Super Mario World, the original Roller Coaster Tycoon trilogy, the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, and the original Crash Bandicoot trilogy come to mind as all time greats for me. I'm also really partial to classic arcade games. Give me a good round of Galaga, Dig Dug, Robotron, Ms. Pac-Man, any CAPCOM beat-em-up, the list goes on. It's really frustrating that more modern arcades have pretty much exclusively phased out their classic coin-ops for the big flashy "E Ticket" versions of these games.

If you’ve ever seen a More Pooh Talk, you know that famously I know nothing about video games.

My favorites include

Red Dead 2 (the only story-based game I’ve ever beaten)
Zoo Tycoon 2
Planet Zoo
Jurassic World: Evolution
Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis
@PerGron I love that the games you play are exactly the games I’d imagine you’d play.

Alright, so we got some gamers with a lot of variety of interests. Love it!

Question of the Day (this one is a bit more practical)
I'm planning to try and get results and at least simple reviews if not full reviews before I go to bed the night projects are posted. It would be easier to do that if projects were due at 10 PM EST instead of midnight. But in the past sometimes players have found the consistency of midnight due dates to help a lot with keeping things organized.

So..... which do you prefer? Projects dues at 10 PM for faster reviews/results/next prompt OR projects due at Midnight for simplicity? Or does it not matter as long as it is well communicated?

Well it doesn’t matter for me because I’m not up at either of those times but midnight is the better option because it’s simple and because stuff is usually due at midnight (at least at my school)

Midnight works better for me because I know I and many others are known for our last minute sprint to the finish and those two extra hours help a lot

I generally prefer midnight because it works better for my schedule. Midnight EST is right around lunchtime for me so I have a bit of time to do some last minute work if I really need to.

I’m more than happy to defer to the others though, since either time probably inconveniences me the least.

Alright, so unless someone comes on with some really strong anti-midnight opinions, then midnight it is!
