Did anybody else catch the significance of our start date? March 14th is Pi Day, which means Pi Are Squared! Mmm Lemon Meringue...
  1. What Armchair Imagineering Project are you most proud of? Bible World is what brought me to the Forum, and some day I'll get back to adding new content to it!
  2. What do you think you best talent is? Attraction-wise, I would say working on dark rides. For a team project, I try to focus on getting everybody to communicate; sometimes I take the tasks that others aren't so enthusiastic about.
  3. What do you hope to get better at during this game? I would like to work more at bringing my own passion into the projects. I'm not opposed to working on IPs that I don't know (Trolls Land is evident of that), but sometimes there are things in brainstorming that I would be more interested in doing.

Always excited to work with someone who love Singing in the Rain as much as I do!

With you, @spacemt354, and @Tegan pilots a chicken joining that officially brings our player count to 11 in just over 24 hours! With nearly more weeks left of sign ups, I'm sure more will join us in our pulpy adventure. BUT 10 players was the minimum goal I had in mind to run the game without changing up the schedule of format and we've already hit it!

The game is on!

While we wait, I'm gonna try to do Discussion Questions to get the excitement up. Maybe not everyday, but I'm gonna try for most days. So...

Are there any parks or lands you're particularly excited to work in or hoping to see?

In all honesty I am very excited. I can’t wait to work with a team again. With my new experience in map making and writing I hope I will be a Boone to any team I’m apart of.

I would love to work with any California-based park, most notably DCA and USH because they're still canvases that can use a lot more work and polish. However, I'm also excited to do a project on my home park (California's Great America). The park is closing in 2028 and is to be demolished for a housing project (or offices, which has gotten the community all worked up), but with the park's massive space, I could see the potential of a new park for Bay Areans.

One thing I've enjoyed about several different games over the years is discovering new parks around the world (even some of the international Disney/Universal ones) that I knew little to nothing about. I fell in love with Phantasialand after working on a Baron Munchausen project with Hulk several years back and it drew me to come back and create an expansion for the park in a final project during the Imaginarium finale later on. Looking forward to discovering anything that's "new or somewhat new" to me that might pop up.
I’ll have to look that up. I’ve been playing around with a Munchausen show and didn’t realize anyone else had done anything with the character.

As for parks, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and maybe Hong Kong Disneyland too would be especially fun to work on a project for.

As for lands, here's a couple I'd like to tinker with or add to:
  • Magic Kingdom: Adventureland (there's a whole plot of land right there southwest of Pirates and JC), Fantasyland (which is still in need of further expansion and renovation), and the stretch of land Beyond Big Thunder Mountain
  • TDL: Fantasyland and Tomorrowland (both of which, while benefitting from their later additions [Enchanted Tale, Hunny Hunt, Queen of Hearts, refurbished "small world", Ride & Go Seek!, Pizza Port, etc.], still could use more divergence from their dated '83 roots)
  • DLP: all four main lands

Another person who likes Phantasialand on this site? Cool! I was very much inspired by Phantasialand's China Town section when creating a Chinese-themed Adventureland for Disneyland during the What If? comp, a concept that may reappear in my concepts soon! (Yes, the intro is pure wishful thinking but please let me have my hopes.) [Also, yes, I am making a Chinese-themed Adventureland in a sense, although it's an expansion of WDW's Adventureland with an open-air market, a Chinese Palace restaurant, a shooter-type dark ride themed to Chinese Myths, a Madhouse themed to Elemental Magic, and a walkthrough based on the travels of Marco Polo.]

That's right! March 14th is significant! It was chosen specifically to tie into Dan from the Game Grumps's birthday :p

Welcome to the Jungle

I doubt we’ll get to since this comp really doesn’t seem to be going that way, but I’d love to play around in Adventureland at some point!
No spoilers but you might just be pleasantly surprised but whooooo kknnnoooowwwwss

I don't really have the time to commit to being a player in this, but I'd love to co-host if @Pi on my Cake will have me!
Intriguing. I'll have my people call your people

I'm still super proud that the Lagoon project from SYWTBAI20 turned out to be an all time great one, especially considering how relatively obscure that park is compared to Disney, Universal, or even Six Flags/Cedar Fair.
That was the creepypasta one, right? Really did love that project

Um idk, I really like castle parks, Epcot, and DAK so it would be cool to see those

Here ya go

Pages 25-39 I believe was our Baron section. The larger project itself turned out pretty well. A fun one to pull together (ironically from a game @Pi on my Cake was running).
I LOVE all of the European parks you managed to do in that! I've always had a soft spot for Alton Towers, Efteling, Phantasialand, and Port Aventura. However, you replaced Geister Rikscha, which is, in my opinion, one of the most interesting dark rides in the world, but that’s the only upsetting thing, to speak from my perspective, in there.

So what I'm gathering from everyone's answers is that the players in this game are interested in working with "Every theme park in the world including the ones they've never heard of." I'll add that to the list lol

Today's Question

Are you a fan of Video Games? What's you favorite!
Just to list a few:

.the Mother series. Anything Nintendo, really
.Bioshock
.The Witcher series
.Red Dead Redemption

I’m playing Cyberpunk right now and it’s really great. I like pretty much anything, especially if the narrative and world are good.
