So what do you think about it? Here's what we currently know about it as of now:

Cinderella's Chateau

Cinderella+Chateu.bmp

  • Attraction type: Interactive Meet and Greet
  • Opening: 2012
  • Location: Fantasy Forest
  • Attraction: Join Cinderella in her Chateau and watch as her Fairy Godmother helps her magically turns her from her servant clothes to a beautiful ball gown. Then you may help Cinderella practice for her royal ball, or for the boys, you can be trained as one of her knights. This will not be all, imagineering has confirmed that we won't just get the transformation and the ballroom dancing and knights. There is more in store for this attraction.
Here are some images to induce some discussion:

Let the discussion begin!

Did Imagineers really say there was more to this?

:O

This might explain the LARGE building behind it? (dark ride?)

If not a dark ride, I'm thinking something like like the countries in WS. You can either go to the interactive M&G or explore the rest of the palace with secret passages, etc. Who knows.

The "large" building is just a piece of the painting, how does anybody here know there is space for a dark ride?* Judging from the blue prints I'd say not. "More" is so vague it could mean anything and it's more likely than not to be just some additional smaller thing like the interactive objects in Minnie's house now.

* Building + Movie tie in = Dark Ride? I need to brush up on my math skills apparently.

Hmm... Okay well, he said you will be getting more than just the dress transformation.

Now, what do you guys think of the Chateau itself. It's truly beautiful. Nice to see WDW getting this type of architecture.

Yes, an unexplained large building in this new expansion right behind Cinderella's home could be a dark ride. I don't see how that isn't possible due to the comparable sizes between her showbuilding and Ariel's.

There's not gonna be a ride. If there was, they would have announced it.

As for the M&G, it's the only one I'm okay with in the expansion.

I can't seem to find the building. If you speak of the building right in front of Ariel's Adventure, that's possibly some theming for the Ariel area. New restaurant or shopping destination? Of course it could also be an exit to the now rumored Cinderella dark ride.

EDIT: Well they didn't announce anything on Casey Jr. and that's most likely coming, same with barnstormer and maybe even the Pixie Hollow dark ride which Eric Jacobson or Jon Gorges Idk who's who hinted on.

No, they did mention something would happen with Barnstormer, as well as saying something about Casey Junior for a possible 2nd phase. Pixie Dark ride has also been mentioned.

There's no way this is a ride.

If Imagineers said something along the lines of "the transofmration is not all you will see" then why isn't it possible? Maybe a dark ride on the level of Snow White or Peter Pan.

And here is the showbuilding outlined. It could very well be for Ariel, but she already has a ton on her plate, so I doubt it.

Dude, it's concept art.

Don't put too much faith in concept art.

EDIT: Just look at the blueprints. The "large building" is no where to be seen.

But it's all anyone has to go on when talking about the new expansion. It's all in good fun.

What do YOU think we could possibly get extra just by thinking about the Imagineer's quote?

Agreed, we aren't just going to wait for the expansion to begin. It's our duty as fans to speculate somehow. It's all in good fun as Scar said.

That building looks a bit more like something Ariel themed to me.
