Cinderella Castle Suite - At What Price?

The other thread on the Castle Suite made me think - how much would people honestly be willing to pay to rent out the suite for a night? And I mean us non-celebrity types.

Time for a poll.... :cool:

Think about what you feel it's "value" would truly be to you - even if you had to save up a long time for it.

If a great wedding costs upwards of $10,000 for one night, I'd be willing to pay much more than $2,000 to have an amazing night in the suite.

Definitely more than $2,000. I doubt it will ever be offered to the general public for any price. There are enough Disney fans and/or wealthy individuals who visit the parks to create a reasonable "market" for this at $5,000/night or more. Once word got out that it was that price, people all over internet forums would foam over Disney being "exclusionary" or complaing that Disney is "supposed to be egalitarian." I just doubt it would be worth the hassle.

I would definitely think it would be in the 2500 to 5k range. Those prises would be easily obtainable considering what other high end resorts may charge. Plus its Disney and in the castle.

It's small

It has no services such as a pool, health club, spa, longue. Yes, it does have a CM standing by. Wheee, unless they are going to dig me a pool, what good is that?

Check in / Check out times are horrible.

OK, so it is really cool to be able to say you did it. It is staying IN the castle IN Magic Kingdom. But aside from the location, I fail to see the appeal. Put that same (nicely decorated but small) room with the same lack of services anywhere else and nobody would want it.

$500 is what I would pay. It would be really cool to stay in the suite for a night but there is no way I could justify spending more than that unless I won the lottery or something!

This could actually be something that Disney could do well marketing. I know the suite is small and you probably wouldn’t get all the amenities of the big resorts, i.e. restaurants, lounge, fitness center, etc. But Disney could make it a true “Cinderella” experience. Maybe ride around the park in Cinderella’s carriage. Exclusive meals with Cinderella herself. All day fast passes. The complete royal treatment. Your family leading various parades. Etc.

IDK. Not sure if Disney’s costs to do such a thing make it worth something to push forward and promote. But on paper, they could really do it up and make it something truly spectacular and special for people who bought it.

Price would have to be very high over $5000 a night I think to keep demand reasonable, otherwise there would be a very long waiting list to reserve.
The real solution is to never rent it out at a price, I think it should be given to children and their families like the Dream Factory or Make a Wish Foundation to those children may never have the chance to return to WDW. There, all settled.

I think it would be cool to visit and see it but I wouldn't want to spend the night. It's not like you would have free run of the park. Something about being locked in there needing an escort to leave that freaks me out a bit. I would LOVE to see it in person though - looks just stunning on TV.

To be able to look out the beautiful windows in there anytime during the night is awesome. To see the Mk at that view with no crowds is neat.

Although I would never pay it, I think it is worth around $1500-$2000 a night. The room is beautiful and although someone pointed out that there are no real hotel amenities, I still think the location is worth its weight in gold.

Anyone ever stay there or know anyone who has?

Wonder if you'd feel the same way when you hear the cherry pickers moan up Main Street to do some touch up painting or tree-pruning, or the sidewalk-washers, or any of the construction equipment being used for the Fantasyland expansion.

I say keep giving the suite to Make a Wish kids.

i kind of agree with many of you. i'd love to have the experience of doing it, but there seems to be a better use for it than just $. i like the fact that charities get to use it, or the random seletion as well.

additionally, if getting into lecellier is next to impossible after the 180 mark, exactly how far out would the wait be for this?:lol:

I said between $500 and $1000 because that's the max I'd spend for the opportunity to spend one night in the castle. And I've always been curious about check in/check out, annnnnd what you'd do all night locked in a room you probably couldn't leave because the park is closed.

Realistically, I know everyone is right about the $5000+ number.

Eh, I think this is a noble idea but the guest making the donation still is doing so with the understanding that they will receive something in return. That makes it a charitable donation on Disney's part by rerouting the money away from themselves. It doesn't change the fact that the donor paid to get what they wanted.

The idea is that it would be gifted as a random stroke of luck or pixie dust. Maybe it's a reward for something done by someone who only did that good thing because it was the right thing to do, not because they wanted something in return. I like thinking that 'Make a Wish' families can have that night of magic bestowed upon them.

Your idea is certainly a good one, tho. I could see this generating a good chunk for charities in need. :wave:

I would say $1000 - 1500. It sleeps 6 maximum guests, which I think might be cutting it close with one bathroom.

It would be interesting if disney had a small resort that was themed in the way this suite is.
