Christmas Holiday phase closing watch 2018

Ahh, yeah. There are some hard ceilings as far as attendance, but I'm pretty sure they would be at or close to phase 4 by the time there were 100k guests in Magic Kingdom. The wait times don't seem to support an estimate of 90k in the park right now either.
There would never be anywhere near 90k in the park. The park would phase close long long before that.

Yes, exactly what I was getting at. :)
Understood.

Most people just have the wrong idea of how attendance and phase closing works. Generally speaking the park phase closes when attendance in the park is in the 60’s. So when they talk of 90k that’s 90k coming and going over the course of an entire day. While the amount in the park at one point would not exceed somewhere in the 60s.

Has EPCOT ever phase-closed?
Epcot hasn’t in recent memory or recalled accounts from a decade ago. Epcot is the second biggest park by far,

MK: 107 Acres
DHS: 135 Acres
Epcot: 300 Acres
Animal Kingdom: 580 Acres (Kilimanjaro Safaris is 110 Acres)

Epcot has however more walking space than the other parks, and Epcot overall has wider walkways for most of the park than the other ones (IMO)

Related to wait times: Is the Disney app not working for anyone else? I am running the current IOS on an iPhone 6 and the app keeps crashing...

Not allowed to give out numbers, but when I worked at Epcot we had the highest capacity based on physical guests currently in the park. Epcot definitely has the most space to hold guests, especially when the lawns are opened up to hold people and backstage areas used for bypasses.

So the poster (who apparently works at MK) who said MK was at 90K was either lying or mistaken? Good to know.

That person was counting clicks coming into the park and not those leaving.

I've come to the MK at 10 AM and there were already people leaving. Lot's of people only spend a few hours and go. And at this time of year, when there's a 40 minute wait for a bathroom, I'm sure there's lots of people (without FPs and ADRs) thinking it's not worth staying and they leave.
