Here's what they've got right now.

We did the dinner buffet there once, and it was good. But I've never been really crazy about the place. :o Our service is usually mediocre at best, and the characters have always been few and far between.

And there was that time Mickey flat out snubbed me

This is funny b/c it was my kids favorite when we went in Oct 06. We went again in Sept. 07 and while they still loved it, I was a little disappointed in the Characters & the food. I would still go again because the kids loved it but it is no longer my favorite.

My sister went in Oct 07 and they hated it. They had bad seats and couldn't really see anything. The characters were brief at best. Some kid sitting at the table right next to them was all over the place and spilling food which apparently got on some of my sisters things. This could be the reason for the negative comments but they said that they had a much better time at other places.

I realize its hard to make everyone happy but over all, it's a fun place to eat at night, but not the best that Disney offers. IMO as of now.

I gotta say, Chef mickey's seems to bring out the worst in kids

And I've got 4 myself, so I'm not one of those single people who will tell you children should be seen and not heard at all times :lookaroun

But my gosh it's a rowdy bunch in that restaurant

Now Crystal Palace I love.

Ditto... plus I had poor service, (took 20 min to bring me a coffee cup and another set of silverware) and the server was rude and disintrested, AND the food was sub-par and the majority of it was cold. :hurl:

I HATE Chef Mickey's & I would never eat there again.. not even if someone paid my way. :fork::lol::lookaroun:o

Don't even get me started on the Half-$%& service there. I had a 8:00pm ressie...wasn't seated until 9:15pm, never got a refill on my drink, and the food...Terrible! I wrote an Email to Disney after my trip about this experience! I wish I could find it on my computer!

We've been to Chef Mickey's twice for dinner & it was great!
We received good service on both visits & the characters were very interactive.
One of my favorites!
I hear the breakfast buffet is great too.

I was there for breakfast.

I dunno... I guess the service/food is hit or miss, given all the reviews from folks here.

Its just not my cup of tea I suppose.

Wow, we were there in July, food was great! Even my picky kids begged to go back for our December trip. As for the characters, there was almost too much interaction. it seemed as though every time I tied to eat something, another one showed up at our table and I had to get out the camera's again. If anything it was hard to eat your meal with all the characters. It was the same at Liberty Tree Tavern as well. But thats what made it magic for us.

A tip for Chef Mickey's that we learned by accident. Make your reservations for 5:00 pm - right when they open for dinner. Get there a little bit early so that you will be one of the first groups seated. Every single character came around right at the beginning one after another. We got to meet each character and got pleanty of interaction time before even going to get our food because very few other tables were even seated yet. Then once the other tables started filling up the characters (different group of "friends" obviously - they didn't remember us from the first time around) started coming around again. Another benefit was that all of the food was just put out and was excellent and there were no lines to get to the food.

This used to be one of our favorite character meals. Great food, great service and lots of characters to keep my children's attention. On our last trip we made our reservations, showed up early, seated after a respectable wait. Service was terrible, food was great as expected, characters interaction was terrible. After 1 1/2 hours we only seen Donald, Minnie and Pluto. My youngest started to hit the wall, so we left. I don't think we will book this meal next time we visit. LOVED Donald's Breakfastaurus. I hope it is just as good when it opens at the Tusker House.

My sister was there at 5:00 and they still hated it. I guess you either love it or hate it and I think that they were expecting more than what they got as far as the characters go.

We had 7:00 am ressies here and were seated right away. The characters all came to our table very quickly and all but Mickey made it to us twice. We loved it and are going back for breakfast in February.
(We also got a really nice little celebration for our anniversary with a cupcake.)
