Well, as we've stated, it isn't true till the guests see it is true. Having said that, today I heard they nixed the Tinkerbelle movie. Doesn't make sense to me since it was already made, but there is another rumor to throw at you.

I have found very few cast members who are happy about a Tink meet and greet. Most think Tink should maintain her mystery. Also, she isn't a great role model. She tried to kill Wendy.

There was a big misunderstanding about Tinkerbell getting nixed back when Disney stopped the direct-to-video movies--however, Disney stated at that time Tinkerbell would still come out. I wonder if the rumor you heard is just remnants of that misunderstanding, or if there is "new" word on Tinkerbell? Not only is it already made, but A LOT of money was invested into it, it doesn't make sense to scrap it...

I would agree with you. I've even had the opportunity to meet the executive producer of the film...I think that was her title. They were at WDW for a marketing brain storming session.

Yep. Its the banner carries saying the dvd is out on the 18th of this month, followed by three dancing couples, the horse and carriage carrying Giselle, the royal pooper scoopers, and then followed by two more banner carries.

So it's basically like what was before the hollywood holly-day parade?

Also found out that the new Power Ranger will be appearing soon at DHS. The Blue Jaguar Ranger from Power Rangers Jungle Fury will be taking the place of the Green Samurai Ranger starting sometime mid to late March.

Tinkerbell's movie is STILL being made. The misunderstanding was that the movie was CRAP, originally, which is why the date has been moved around so much. when John Lasseter got a hold of it he said it was terrible and scrapped the idea. He then created a new script and storyline and everything, and they're making the movie. It'll be ready for release sometime Late Summer to Mid-Fall. Tinkerbell and her Fairy Friends will be making Meet and Greet Appearances starting either in Late fall or sometime in December.

Most of the fairies have already been fitted and cast, and unless you're in Entertainment, you wouldn't know how Entertainment feels about Tinkerbell and what's going on with her story and her doing meet and greets. Entertainment is very excited for Tinkerbell, and her story is expanded more.

Tinkerbell is "the loser fairy" as we like to joke. Fawn, Iridessa, Silvermist, and Rosetta all have real fairy qualities; Nature, Light, Water, and Beauty. Tinkerbell, however, is a Tinker Fairy. She fixes pots and pans and things. So, for this, she is made fun of by the other fairies (mostly Fawn). Though they are still her friends, they have their moments. Tinkerbell is very kind, but she is misunderstood and can get very temperamental and jealous because no one pays much attention to her. The only person she trusts more than anyone is Peter Pan, whom she is best friends with. So, naturally, when Wendy popped in, Tinkerbell thought her thunder was being stolen and she would stop at nothing to make sure she remained number 1 in Peter's life. He's all she's got as far as she's concerned. But we learn, (through some Disney magic and storytelling) that no matter who you are, you are special in your own way, and no one can take that away from you.

I think Tinkerbell is a great character and she'll be great to meet.

The brief previews I have seen for the Tinkerbell movie look amazing and the sneak previews of the new fairies on Return To Neverland really have me excited, it looks like it's going to be amazing. I especially liked Rosetta. Is it weird that I find the fairies kinda hot?:lookaroun

With Lasseter's backing, it's gotta be good and I really look forward to a Tinkerbell/fairie meet & greet.

Does anyone have any character news for DHS?

It seems that alot of the characters that come out before and after DSMC parade are the characters from the parade. What will happen when BPB starts? Will there be loads of pixar characters out and about? Or will there still be 'classic' characters?

What about a permanent place for mickey now he is out of the parade and his previous location is no more?

My department and Entertainment are partners. We work on a daily basis with Entertainment.

What I said was: I haven't met very many CM's, entertainment or not, who are excited about Tink meet and greet.

I'm sure entertainment management is excited, and in terms of having new roles to play the actors are excited, but in terms of opening the veil of mystery that surrounds Tink, apparently we have mixed reviews.

i wouldn't be so hasty as to use your voice and opinion as the voice of all entertainment. Because you would be wrong.

Thank you.

Oh well

Everyone I knew was excited

Not quite what you said though at first, so thank you for clearing it up. I'm sure there are mixed reactions.

There's been talk of Mickey going to the Magic of Disney Animation

Sorry to return to the whole Figment issue, but they won't be waiting til summer to take him away. His last day is actually March 15th. :( They are also taking away Koda and Kenai from Canada; the reason for these changes being that entertainment at EPCOT is way over budget and those characters have the smallest guest numbers. I spend a lot of time with Figment, so I hope he will be back in the future, but who knows.
