Character Costume Upgrades....

A while back there was a post about how they updated jiminy crickets costume and there were some pics of it. Since then I know they added the articulated costumes that talk. But have any other cahracters been revamped in the past 4 or so years? Have any been changed from human to costumed characters?

Just curious.

OMG I was SERIOUSLY about to post a thread asking if/when WDW was planning on taking those talking character heads used in the shows in front of Cinderella's Castle and use them with all the characters?

I always thought that if WDI could design and build giant dinosaurs and yetis that move (well, at least moving dinosaurs.......), then how hard would it be to make a character head that could change the wearers voice to sound exactly like or darn close to the original character's voice, as well as move the mouth in unison? It shouldn't be TOO terribly hard........

Cinderella's fairy godmother has gone from plastic faced to human.

She's the only one I can think of who's made such a dramatic change.

I agree. However, how cost effective it would be is another story altogether.

At least for now. You never know what they may do sometime down the road. :wave:

articulateds in their current form will never be meet and greets. you'll be lucky if you ever see them in any other park besides magic kingdom too.

Capt Hooks eyes were SCARY!

Speaking of eyes, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe now some characters blink now (I'm thinking of Donald specifically).

Hmm ok, maybe not blink, but something is definitely different and improved with some character's eyes.

Anyone know what I mean??

Those are the articulated characters (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald in Dream Along; Timon in FotLK; and also the VIPs in Twas and CTS).
