What is Chapek up to these days anyway?

Mabe weak as an example of due diligence, but a google search says nothing since he left D. Did aliens get him?
I mean if I was 63 and just walked away from my job with tens of millions of dollars, I'd probably just retire and never work another day... And seeing how no one has heard from him, he probably took the same route.

Willow has a 'Honey-Do' list for him a mile long and he keeps working to avoid it. Why do you think he came back? Apparently she's quite the taskmaster around the palatial estate.

I've been made privy to the new succession plan at TWDC!

  • Bob Iger serves as CEO until he dies
  • There is a gathering of the BoD
  • We wait to see white smoke coming out of Dopey's nose in Burbank and then they will announce who the new CEO is
Seems kind of familiar, but I can't put my finger on why...

Honestly, I hope so. Enjoy the time you missed with your family amassing that fortune.

A ceo wouldn’t go away…they’d be doing something

Money = power = ego

But chapek was never a ceo…not skilled, not competent, not qualified

When LucasFilm and Pixar and Disney animation and Disney live action are all flopping, the problem ain't Kathleen Kennedy.
Don't forget, and no one seems to be talking about it, last Friday ESPN laid of 20 on air personalities. That's a significant number of on air staff. Wondering how much longer ESPN is a viable enough commodity to even spin off if they wanted to. I think the time may have already passed though.

Quite a labor savings. Jalen Rose who was laid off was paid $3M per year.

Kathleen Kennedy hit pieces are starting to hit the newswires
I’ll say this: she has unquestionably one of the most impressive, if not the most impressive, list of films as a producer in history. How much of that is her proximity to Spielberg is up to others to decide, and to be fair, Spielberg hasn’t exactly been Speilbergian after she left. I have grave problems with some of her stewardship over Lucasfilm, and think they’re in a very bad spot due to her, but circa acquisition through at least 2017 you couldn’t find a better person to lead this studio.

Chapek sold his home for $5M then splurged and bought a $15M home when he became CEO then later promptly laid off with a $23M exit package.

Wouldn't surprise me. We all have our favorite classic Walt quotes, but my favorite Bob quote is definitely: "None of you seem to understand. I'm not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with me!"
Bobby will look down at all the screaming unwashed masses begging for Magical Express, Free Dining, A new Figment attraction, something to be done with Wonders of Life pavilion, the Brazil pavilion, something to be put in Stitch's Great Escape, cheaper park tickets, no reservation system, Fastpass return, the SSE refurb, the Space Mountain track refurb, not cutting budgets to future projects, an actually good World Showcase lagoon nighttime show, Galaxy's Edge expansion, Pandora Expansion, Villains Land and whisper ... no.

Isn’t this everyone just regurgitating a post by some random twitter user ?

Im not a fan of hers and hope she is fired but this all just seems like clickbait.

Unsurprising that Iger wants to stay. The BOD will likely have to get him out with a crowbar and I don’t see them having the cajones to do it.
He appoints his board…and they leave as HE sees fit
