Changes to IllumiNations pre-show announcements

So I will be going down from 09/13 - 09/22. From everything that I can see it looks like on 08/23 the Globe went missing and that it was going to be down for 3-4 weeks. Do you think that I will get to see the new/improved/upgraded globe while I am down there? :shrug::shrug:

As for the announcements, I'm not sure where I heard it, but I don't believe Mary is still with Disney, is she? If so, thats probably why they are transitioning out her voice for the male voice.

Isn't she the same lady that performs at Comedy Warehouse in Pleasure Island, so as we all know he fate of PI in the very near future she may not (that is is she hasn't already left) be with the Walt Disney Company for much longer.

Last night's ROE update:

Clearly, no Earth Barge yet.

Perimeter seawall launches went off as normal, further solidifying the "7:01" launch was accidental, or just an idea that didn't go over well..

Phew. Again!

The final salutes FINALLY burst in sync, and there wasn't two batches of 'booms'.

Woohoo! After how long?? Me wonders if any more of the timings have been tightend. Yes, some were pyro issues, but some could be fixed by reback-timing.

Geesh talk about slapping Mary in the face, first they are closing Comedy Warehouse and then take her wonderful voice over away. Btw she also use to do the Gyspy lady at the Grand Gathering Safari.

By the way, I just took a look at that video...you guys are right...they fired all three shots from the perimeters at the same time. That is really, really weird. Timecode can't mess up, at least to my knowledge, so they must have done that on purpose...I hope they go back to the original timecode when the globe comes back.

Gone, but not forgotten. At least all of her announcements were recorded a while back.

I have no idea, but I wish they made the change a few weeks ago when I made a full recording of Illuminations, including the pre-show. :fork:

I went back this evening to record the new ending spiel and Celebrate Today and I didn't set up to record the pre-show again. Now I have to go back and record the one new pre-show announcement (it's tough, I know).
