:ROFLOL:

Oh-Revelation:I think this is why they changes the maps...They wanted to hype up ROE because it was being downgraged. Makes sense.

AND

The show I saw was prolly a test of the new ROE effects for the refurb.

*sings "I can See Clearly Now"*

Ok, now I'm not exactly sure what laser effects you're talking about, but if you're referring to the multi-colored, straight lined, totally awesome ones that come from the American Adventure at the end of the Celebration sequence, that effect has been around for some time. Here's vid. from July 2007.

In your defense, that are *relatively* new in the sense that they weren't there in the beginning of 2007, but you didn't see a test show or anything. Sorry if that bursts your bubble a bit.

I would swear the wave-effect is new - I hadn't seen it before. I really don't think I mentally check-out during ROE....:lookaroun

Wave laser is new, most likely for the temporary show. Looks very similar to the effect used during the PoE tag for the holidays.

The circles on the Inferno Barge have been there since day one when the barge debuted. Not only does it shoot flames skyward, but also outward, which is when guests really feel the heat of the flames. VERY neat. (Don't worry; I didn't notice this till last year, and I was a surprised as you are now to find out that the flames go outward and in a circle.)

And, don't ask me how/why the laser were changed! All I know is that they were, and I'm glad they were changed! Gosh, who do you do think I am, some kind of laser expert?! :p

When they put sharks with laz-er-beams in the lagoon I shall be even more impressed. I heard that was going to be in the new WaterDance Show.

I would swear the Bars in We Go On are new too...Celebration too..They look different.AND YEAH I havn't seen flames like that since the ORIGINAL barge in 2000-2006.I didn't think the new one did that.

And yes...You are a Laser expert!:p:wave:

Okay, let me put it this way: any laser effects that you saw for the "We Go On" segment are NEW and were not part of the normal RoE show. Those effects are (probably) there only because the globe is gone. I do not believe that the wave and bar effects currently seen in "We Go On" will be there when the globe returns. The only laser effects I have ever known for that section are at the very end during the final burst of colored fireworks, where the green lasers project rapidly around the lagoon.

Now, for "Celebration"-oy, what bar effects are you referring to this time? The only laser effects I know are, about halfway through "Celebration", the green laser beams begin to project for varying times around the lagoon, while, at the same time, the search lights flash different colors into the sky. Then, during the four circle fireworks bursts, the pavilion strobes come on, the green lasers are rapidly projected, similar to the end of "We Go On," and the search lights continue to flash. This continues into the multiplying blue fireworks, and as the music holds on the last note before the final blue pyro burst, the lasers change to the lined, multi-colored ones that you pointed out before, the search lights become a solid red, and pavilion rope lights slowly fade out.

So, did the laser you saw sound like anything I've just described? :veryconfu ;)

EDIT: Thanks, but I'm still not a laser expert.

And ALL of that was in the show I saw.So that's why I'm guessing the show I saw was a test.

Make sence?:lol::shrug:

Meh, it seems to be in the direction of the new Epcot.

My first Visit was 2002, so i haven't had the pleasure of Horizon et al, but the one thing i like most about Epcot is that it doesn't really feel/look like any of the other Disney Parks.

I mean, Mickey isn't hiding behind every corner, it has a more mature theme, and lets me honest to appreciate most of the stuff here you have to a little older and a bit more mature.

Epcot seems to be dumbing down more and more, first Nemo (which I have to say I like, but I prefer the old Sea Base overlay) El Rio going Donald, SSE going Internet flash and Judy Dench, What's next universe of Energy going Monsters Inc, where through the wonders of Monster vision you "learn" (in the smallest capacity possible) about how energy makes our world, and the monsters world go round.

I know its a small change, but its slowly bugging me the constant dumbing down of Epcot.

i know not everyone wants to educated when on Holiday, but i also don't want to be insulted when I ride an attraction too.

I have to say, I was so surprised at how much universe and living with the land made me think about the issues raised.

I like the rest of you want to see Epcot grow, but not at the cost of its identity.

But alas all you Horizons EPCOT Centre fans can no doubt see this a millions times more than me.
As soon as they replace Reflections of Earth' The dumbing down of Epcot will be complete and I might not go again. I might give up on my dreams of Imagineering and my plans for a new and better Epcot.:(
