If BoD wants to protect the company, they fire Iger, bring in an interim CEO and the company undergoes an agressive and thorough review of sexual misconduct with the findings made available to the public. Make a fund for lawsuits from victims and shareholders. Establish better education and enforcement practices across the company. This isn’t hard, having the courage to come forward, with threats of litigation from your former employer, is.So does Bob need to start worrying about a sharp object protruding from his back?
What I think is going on right now in Burbank is a BoD terrified that their brand may be in serious jeopardy and they might be paying $$$$ to current and former employees. As they await the next piece in the Times or THR. And looking for a scapegoat to throw to the wolves....
And hoping there's not a Will Hays in Congress itching to make a name for him/herself by calling for investigations into the cesspool their base thinks Hollywood is.
Disney’s behavior only serves Bob Iger and the other predators in the company who haven’t been outed. It doesn’t serve the long term interest of the company or preserving the multi-generational public trust the Disney Company has.
