Hi,

I'm interested if anyone has seen any celebrities at WDW? Just wondered who goes that is well known to everyone. Please post below your findings :)

I saw Michael Schumacher with his daughter and a security guard walking into the exit if RN'RC. Awesome! (Michael Schumacher: Formula One Driver)

Regards,

Last year I saw Tom Cruise and his daughter on Buzz. They got on where the exit is and they left 5 empty cars between them. We were the first people let on after he went by. People were screaming TOM from behind and all my wife did was pout because he rode right by us and we didn't realize it until the cm told us as we were getting on.

After they got off, they were escorted through an emergency exit.

This is totally an aside, but my wife met Carrie Underwood last week in a grocery store. Her husband, Ottawa Senator's Mike Fischer, is from our hometown (Peterborough, Ontario, Canada), and they were visiting. I just think its weirder meeting a celeb in the produce aisle than WDW, but just me.

I've never seen a celeb, but I've been really curious about this too.

I don't want to take this thread in another direction, but it makes me ponder something. Many people would like to be rich and famous, but the famous part really comes at a cost. Tom Cruise had to be snuck on and off a ride through an emergency exit. Sure it would be nice to bypass the lines at every ride, but imagine not being able to walk the parks at your leisure and enjoying all of the great details of the Disney parks. I'm sure he and other celebs can't just wander through the park. They'd get mobbed. So, perhaps being famous comes at a cost that makes it not worth it? Sure I'd love to be filthy rich where I could say, "I feel like going to Disney", and I just fly out the next day and spend a week or so. But I don't think I'd ever want to be famous to the point where I would have trouble walking around places like WDW.

Sorry for the detour of this subject, but it got me thinking. Back to your regularly scheduled program....

My wife and I met Jayma Mays at Le Cellier in Dec. She wwas there with her family. For those of you who don't know who she is, she is the guidance counselor on the show Glee. Whats funny is that my wife is a guidance counselor and she actually had a very long conversation with my wife about how she should act as a counselor.

One of my family members shared an elevator at the Grand Floridian with Hulk Hogan. She remarked he is shorter in person.

I remember reading somewhere that Michael Jackson used to wear a disguise so he could enjoy Disneyland in peace.

I saw a video of him in make-up getting disguised as an old man. He did say that he enjoyed watching people and seeing how they "really are" as opposed to their "star struck" selves. But I would imagine these famous celebrities going to WDW in disguises, that would be an easier way and more normal way for them to get around.

That's fascinating! I never considered that there could be famous people around us in disguise. I guess now that this is a realistic option, I wouldn't mind being famous again. :p

I totally agree with you! Because doing what they do I.e. going on the ride through emergency exits and ride exits, yes it does take out the queue waiting time but sometimes waiting in the queue can be fun because there are things in the queue that entertain people whilst waiting and it builds up excitement. Also just walking around, if your a celebrity you cant just walk around the parks as you will be, as you said, be mobbed :p which I feel is unfair on them so I do think it is hard for celebrities to enjoy WDW and the rides .. :)

My Family and I rode the Sarfari with Shane Mc Mahon from WWE. We were picked to ride with them. The truck pull up to the spot where you get on with him and his family already in it. I didn't realize who he was. My husband had to tell me.

We saw Brooke Hogan at the Poly after an O'hana breakfest. She is VERY tall (unlike her Pop I guess) although she might have looked taller if her CM escort was on the short side. Until then I though she was the overly made up pretty but that day she had on a yoga suit, hair in a pony and little make and was very pretty. She smiled at my little girl 3 then dressed as a princess...it actully took my DH and I a minute to realize that was Brooke Hogan. We turnd around to do a double take and she was talking to another CM by the desk area just to be sure.

We saw Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Deveraux from Days of Our Lives) at the PO-FQ in '94 when we were getting married. She was there with her husband and baby. A few in my wedding party were soooo excited to see her and her husband, Scott Reeves who was at that time on Young and the Restless. Although I didn't go over and talk to them it was still pretty cool. :)

We got Mickey Mouse's autograph! He was just walking around the park! There were a couple of bodyguards, I mean, character attendants with him at the time, but I ran ahead and got close enough to shout
"M-I-C-K-E-Y"! He actually turned around and waved at us! :dazzle:

Tristan,

Here is my recolection of who I have seen or met while a Cast Member...

I have seen the "manager" from the Michael J Fox sitcom, the one set in an office?
I also have seen Jon Secada on the Jungle Cruise when I worked there.
I have done security for N'Sync, Natatiana Ali(FResh Prince), Shawn Colvin, and my favorite, Colin Raye.
But as impressive as that list is the most memorable celeb I met BLEW ME AWAY! I was doing maintinance in The Pasta Piazza Restuarant(which USE to be adjacent to the Bakery in Future World) during Illuminations, when someone asked me a question. I turned and there was a short African-American with her 2 kids and husband in tow. She politely asked how to het to the front of the park. I gave her directions and began to chat with her and the kids. I asked them how their day was and if they enjoyed themselves, all the while continuing to clean-up. The chat only lasted a few minutes, but as they turned to leave, the lady said that she was impressed that I could hold a conversation and keep cleaning, but still make the feel special. I turned and thanked her for the compliment and wished them a good evening. My friend that was working in the area came over and started to bounce around with excitement...I could have slapped him! LOL!
I asked him what his problem was, he asked if I knew who that was. I said it was just a guest wanting to know the way out of the park. He looked at me and told me that was the one and only, DIANA ROSS! I said NO WAY!
But then after a little bit of investigation, I found out it WAS Diana Ross!!!!
