A MiceChat article had this bit today:

Second, workmen are already busy inside the Fantasyland courtyard remaking two different spaces. The Castle Heraldry Shoppe closed January 12 and, since it’s adjacent to the Peter Pan ride, which is on the short list to get FastPass this year, first thoughts were that the shop would become a FastPass dispensary.

What I’m hearing, though, is that it will remain a merchandise location. The latest story going around is that it will be a store specializing in merchandise for the new live action film Beauty and the Beast, which premieres March 17. Like recent meet & greets and other movie tie-ins, the store will only be temporary, lasting only until interest in the movie dies down—and merchandise management decides what to put in there for the long term.

Maybe this means you ll only be able to get a Peter Pan FP with MaxPass only.

Yes but I'd imagine the infrastructure would take a lot less space? I'm imagining a scanner under the ride marquee.

Even with a small footprint, those lines can still get lengthy. A lot of the FP+ lines at WDW still come with a 10-15 min wait at times! I always joke that the FP+ line for Pooh is still longer than the standby wait at ours for most of the year, ha!

I remember the year RSR opened we took advantage of Magic Mornings and hopped on the ride and figured we could easily grab a Fastpasses for later in the day afterward when the park was officially open. This was back when the machines were located at It's Tough to be a Bug. By the time we made it to the kiosks the park had been open for maybe 5 minutes and the FP line stretched all the way to the entrance of Hollywood Land. This was all taking place at 8:00am mind you.

Next time someone is at the parks, would you mind getting this water bottle and throwing it away? I'm tired of hearing MiceChat complain about it.

"Yes, that’s trash lodged above the door. It’s been there a very long time. I first noticed it when shooting an update months ago. I didn’t post about it because I was sure it would just get cleaned up and thrown away. Guests do all sorts of disrespectful things to the parks. However, I couldn’t help but notice the bottle on every trip through Fantasyland since. I even pointed it out to custodial more than once. It’s become a pet peeve."

I'll be there this weekend. I'll try to remember to get that for you.

Interesting that MC got this one wrong - the Beast temporary store is in the old Frozen/Tangled meet-n-greet location adjacent to Village Haus. Pan FP seems to be the likely story here.

@Curious Constance Were you on Laughing Place when there was the big upset over the ADA ramp installed in front of the Haunted Mansion? A few people were bent out of shape because they didn't think it fit the theme of an antebellum mansion in the 1800s. I swear, I think the debate went on for at least a month.
