ok....I looked at the pictures on the blog....and that fence is dumb...looks dumb, is dumb, and isn't doing it's job...so ultimately, dumb.
So what you're saying is... you think it's dumb!?!
Seriously, I think the fence was to control the number of children playing on it at any one time. I think a CM was to be stationed there letting children in through the front gate. Not saying it was the greatest idea - just explaining!
Do adults think the fence is meant to be breached?
Thats just bad parenting. I guess they cant figure out why the fence is there!
I hate being judgemental against other parents but this is just bad parenting. Anyone with half a brain can tell the fence is there to keep children out. And to go as far as help your child through the fence!?!
These pictures upset me because it's sad when people can't follow one simple rule. The fence is there for a reason.

I don't honestly believe anything... I was just repeating what had been explained on here by others who seemed in "the know"! I haven't a slightest clue what they intended to do! But the fence does have a gate, and if they didn't plan on a CM being stationed there why wasn't the gate opened right from the beginning?I seriously doubt that. We're talking about the same management team who thought it was a good idea to leave the Swiss Family Treehouse entrance unmanned in order to save a few bucks. Do you honestly believe they intend/intended to employ someone to stand in front of that gate all day long? Babysitting your children? And in what amounts to pouring rain?

Exactly. I have always thought having water attractions like this are a poor idea in a theme park. Water park yes. Non water park no.wait....so are the kids NOT supposed to be playing on Casey Jr at all? I haven't seen the area in person, and I was wondering why a fence would be built in a play area...but the design of the engine looks like it welcomes people to play in/on/around it. I guess I need to look at some more pictures of the area.
Its easier to deny liability for an injury than for being in violation of a written ADA statute.Chicken wire to keep the little critters out. And oblivious full-grown heathens.
What strikes me is the comments of the managers worried more about being sued for ADA/accessibility issues than the obvious safety issues here. That's nuts.
One plausible explanation is that the gate was added for maintenance to be able to get in/out without having to climb over the fence.
